so far, i've read that only the note 4A only allows 2G on the 2nd SIM, and that the note 4 and 4X allows 3G on the 2nd SIM card. I was about to place and order on (http://www.lazada.sg/xiaomi-redmi-n....campaign-267.0.0.O67iHg&ff=1&sc=IQsB&boost=2), when I saw that q&a below quote:

"I understand your concern and would like to inform you that in Redmi Note 4, when two SIM cards are used simultaneously, the primary SIM can support 4G calls and data while the secondary SIM can support 2G calls only. Therefore, you will not be able to use dual sim as telco has terminated the 2G line. However, in some of our Xiaomi devices there is an update which will be rolling out and you will be able to use the 4G network in first sim slot and 3G network in second sim slot after the update."

Anyone knows if the update is already out? thanks in advance.

Thanks for your speedy reply. Perhaps I wasn't clear, but the phone I was intending to buy is the note 4 or 4x bcos I need the 2nd Sim to work. The link is for note 4, see quote below also. Hence, I was perplexed bcos I thought the Redmi 4a is the only one that supports 2g 2nd Sim.

Yes I've read that and because the grammar is "update will be rolling out" and not had been rolled out, thus my question was if anyone knew that the update has been made available. I've messaged the seller (official Xiaomi) and not gotten any replies so just trying my luck here.

Note 4x might not be the best for gaming due to the 625 inside. It is very power efficient hence can't be compared to flagship grade phone like the OnePlus 5. You should be able to get better firmware support on the OnePlus 5. But that being said, it might take another month or 2 before you can get ur hands on the OnePlus 5. If you can wait for 1-2 months, I suggest u wait for the OnePlus 5. If urgent, get the Note 4x 1st to tide u around, sell it once u manage to get the OnePlus 5.

3+32 for Note 4x. 4+64 for Note 4x is MTK X20. Only local xiaomi Redmi Note 4 4+64 is 625.

If you don't care much about local warranty, you can get it from iSky Trading from their shopee or Qoo10 store. I just collected my Redmi Note 4x from them just now and the service was great and I updated it to the latest firmware on the spot. If you care about warranty then get the Redmi Note 4 625 from MI Store in Suntec or LAZADA for local warranty.
