did you use original charger and cable ?

I used the original cable but as for the charger, I used my ipad charger. They only provided a 2 pin charger.
I don’t think it is an issue with the charger or cable as it could be used to charge my gf’s note8

Please correct me if I am wrong as I am still new to this hardware and software issues. I previously used iPhones only.

It's quite well publicized that the Snapdragon 625 is the superior variant of the Redmi Note 4X compared to the Mediatek X20 processor. It runs cooler and is more power efficient.

There exist SD625 4GB/64GB sets, but they are definitely more expensive and not as widely available.

If you really want a SD625 4GB/64GB phone, consider the Mi Max 2. The battery is amazing at 5,300 mAh.

Is there a big difference in performance when using Note 4 3GB/32GB vs the Note 4 4GB/64GB if both are local sets (Snapdragon 625)? Mainly using the phone to browse shopping apps, check email and sometimes watch youtube, not using it to play any games.

Is it worth to pay $120 more to get Note 4 4GB/64GB, or better save $120 to get Note 4 3GB/32GB.

Just bought from Lazada 32gb (Gold) $131.12 after discount using Citibank credit card.
$149 - $17.88 (12% Citibank) = $131.12

I have given up on tempered glass screen protectors for this. They either bubble up on the sides or are so reflective that the screen visibility gets screwed up.

$10+ wasted.

Does anyone here know where to get decent PLASTIC screen protectors for the 4X?

Hmmm I am not sure what happened in your case, but the free tempered glass protector given by Newstar Electronic worked fine for me.
