My phone just got updated with MIUI 9. RN4 mtk doesn't have this update yet. So Snapdragon guys are lucky.

The only difference I noticed so far is that the time widget now has the weather graphic as well.

Also noticed that now you can split screens.

updated OTA. updated ADB driver. still cant unlock even after 4 days. tried all possible solutions online, seems like there are some like me cant unlocked even after 1 month. guess not fated with this phone. lol time to sell it. the only reason i bought it was to root, unlock and flash to RR rom.

What ROM are you on? Have you used VPN to bind your account?

Can also try asking question at the Xiaomi official forums.

One possibility can be that your MI account kena blacklisted from unlocking bootloader. So just ask those Xiaomi admins to check your account.

Alternative is to create a new MI account.

What is the tempered glass or screen protector do you guys use?
My tg from taozi (qoo seller) is really unusable. The white patch at the edge is so wide and unable to stick.

If u buy normal tempered glass protector, make sure it's a slightly smaller size one, cos glass protector cannot bend, so can only cover the flat part of the phone glass and not the curved part.

If u want to cover even the curved part, then will have to buy those 2.5D rated protector.

My experience is from the free TG protector that I got when I got the 3GB/16GB version a few months back.

So I just wanted to buy the same one for this 3GB/32GB version. I bought from AliExpress.

did you confirm fastboot.exe can see your device?

a question... did anyone update the OS to MIUI 9...? it seems that easy mode is gone...?? my mum is now complaining because the phone updated the OS... and now she is struggling to use the phone...

anyway to enable back easy mode or workaround to mimick one...?
