Now headache, wonder if I should whack mimax 2 for the larger display and sell off my redmi note 4.

Redmi Note 5 and Redmi 5 scheduled for sale in Dec or Early Next year. 5.7 to 5.9 inch if you want something bigger than 5.5 but still comfortable in your hand.

Once again, i would advice people not to get the export set of the Redmi note 4x 4gb 64gb with the helio processor set as my Friend also had a battery problem with his export set. But luckily for him, the seller on Qoo10 allowed him to exchange his set with a 3gb 32gb snapdragon set which has no problems now.

As for me, i will be going back to the seller i bought from to see if i can do the same as my phone takes 7 hours to charge from 0% to 100% after collecting it yesterday afternoon as they have “tested” and found no problems with it.

Only buy the snapdragon, never the helio.

So what settings did u tweak?

One that I did was to disable system animations.

same, i did the anti fake thingy to change the power mode, though im not sure after a restart it will change back or not..

also i did tinker with the developer settings side like the one you did and force the 4x thingy..

but one thing i find it weird is that developer settings always turn off by itself.. have to keep enabling it once awhile.. anyone notice this as well?

When the charging is in progress, go to settings and check the battery status. If it says charging on USB, then it takes very long time. It happened to me once when the charging connection of usb port was loose. If the status says charging on AC, then it is a different issue.

the force 4x is under developer mode force 4x msaa look for it..

another is xiaomi antifake app can google and get it from xiaomi forum..

After a while, it is back to square one. Just like every time you reload Windows on your PC, it will appear to run faster too.

yea, turn on when playing games and all.. busy time or sleeping turn it off lo.. trying to find something or app to see can create like a switch for these settings

anyway feels snappy already.. however, i still feel mi max 2 the best for gaming and all (imho) because big screen, large battery, just as fast for gaming..

OT: waiting for razer phone and op5t the 2 monsters ... quite surprised razer phone going for $1098 with those amazing specs ..

Are there any differences between Redmi Note 4X 16GB and 32GB version? Apparently this 16GB model has 3GB ram.

I didn't know there is 3GB ram for the 16GB model, thought it's 2GB ram with 16GB.

No differences, other than the 16GB and 32GB as internal storage. The RAM are both 3GB.

May I know whether for the 16GB model, can apps be installed on the microSD?

Because I'm afraid that inserting a microSD for the 16GB model can only store multimedia but not apps. Thanks.

As for almost any Android phone, u should be able to do it if u root the phone.

U dun seem to understand the concept.

Yes, the microSD card can be inserted and used immediately without rooting, but only for storing files not apps. To do so, u will have to root the phone.
