I called up JTBC earlier to check on the ETA for 6/64G Black and Blue and I also asked them to confirm that they units they bring in are China set preloaded with global rom.

They told me they are bringing in are China set of Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera preloaded with China rom by default so they requested their supplier in China to flash it to global rom.

However, only some batches were flashed to global rom while the rest are still on China Rom. I guess those make purchased and received sets with global rom must have hit jackpot

For experts in this forum like you flashing is not an issue but for me, is a daunting task .

That's why I prefer it comes with preloaded with global rom or at at least the shop does the flashing for me.

For experts in this forum like you flashing is not an issue but for me, is a daunting task .

That's why I prefer it comes with preloaded with global rom or at at least the shop does the flashing for me.

Same, I prefer it coming with Global ROM preloaded, so can save myself the hassle of flashing it and also the possibility of bricking it if flash wrongly.

Export sets marketed as whatever redmi note 5, redmi note 5 pro, will be china rom, typically with playstore installed by reseller.

Exported global version will definitely be marketed as global version, if it isnt from xiaomi directly.
they have global rom by default.

usually there would also be china export sets but with global rom. it doesnt look like its going to be common this time because the bootloader has to remain unlocked after flashing it, or it will go into a boot loop.

Flashing is easy, just follow the steps. Unless you tell me that you can follow simple steps. Just go to miui forum, the community jin helpful one. They got sotong guide for noob.
