got someone ask me how I flash to global rom. the instructions were actually provided by FreshGradDays a few pages back. perhaps I can elaborate a bit more

1) bind account and unlock bootloader using MI UNLOCK tool
- I followed the steps in https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/how-to/solved-bypassing-360h-wait-to-unlock-t3791083


2) download global 9.5.6 ROM from MI website
3) download and install MiFlash tool. Then install and Clean all (but dont lock bootloader)
- then I followed these steps in https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/how-to/redmi-note-5-china-ai-to-leaked-global-t3782175

Does N5 support app2sd? meaning moving apps onto sdcards.....does N5 support it w/o rooting?

When you say halo effect, are you referring to the oil ring like appearance in the sp or you referring to the non-stickiness at the edge ?

halo effect is the white outline caused by the curve of the 2.5d glass

My phone arrived! That is very fast as I placed order yesterday late afternoon. Phone looks fine with all the specs as advertised.

Yes there is a silicon case included. Very nice.

Why mine on Thursday? I ordered with GT as well on Sunday night. :(
