UPDATE:

I checked the IMEI number on Xiaomi website.

It said the phone is from Malaysia.

Technically if IMEI number doesn't show Singapore... You can't get warranty coverage in Singapore based on experiences from others in Malaysia and Singapore. Unless you can someone show a receipt from Mi Singapore to prove they were the ones who gave u a wrong set I guess

u mean the front facing camera portrait mode?

they changed the UI of the camera app in the latest china miui 9.5.16.0
it has been replaced by a dedicated "portrait" mode beside photo.

there is no such logo for the front facing camera anymore as it has been replaced entirely by another mode.
