Is the so called local set the same as China version as Note 5 AI with better camera? From the spec in Lazada, the so called local set comes with a lower end camera?

It's the other way around. But it's difference by camera that's all.
I am going for 6/64GB.
China rom but one of the forumers who purchased from them recently received his set that comes with global rom.
I posted a thread early about about my enquiry to JTBC on whether their stock is china rom or global rom, you can check it out.

Wouldn't exactly call these local sets when they come in 2 pins plug. True local set will come with 3 pins plug. Just seller claim that SG xiaomi will support.

If I ready correctly, someone mentioned that he/she did a check on the unit purchased from Global Technologies on Xiaomi website and it indicates ship to address is Malaysia.
SG and MY follow UK electrical system so could it be UK 2 pin plug which is technically local set.

The 3 pin plugs provided with official xiaomi sets should have the Singapore Safety Mark on the plugs.

This is the Global version, essentially the AI version too.The one I got from JTBC is this one.
How do I know whether is this the Redmi Note 5 AI version?
So JTBC now sell the Global version with Global ROM preloaded?!

Just check lazada, $278 should be Redmi Note 5 Pro not Redmi Note 5 AI. I only see 1 Redmi Note 5 AI in lazada and is selling at $350.
