there is a con. every miui update will bring random china apps that u have to uninstall. and recently the vibration on every sync bug was introduced and fixed around 2 weeks afterwards. these random weird ass bugs are usually not present in global rom.

didnt encounter any new china apps that need to uninstall.. i play and use so many china rom phones.. MI MIX, mi max, redmi 5 plus, redmi note 5 AI and max 3.. I also didnt encounter what vibrate sync bugs.. Glocal rom i encountered the most bugs instead... phone ring out of nowhere.. i also dun know which apps trigger it....

And worse Global rom i encounter tonnes of ADS... in theme apps tonnes of ads... china rom one inside clean clean no ads... and many thing to customize... beside themes... such as font and ringtone.. global rom dun have one

no cons..:D:D:D infact i dun see a need to unlock bootloader and dun see a need to flash global rom.. for mine phone , family members one and relatives and friends one... they all nv encounter any problem..

ok i just check on the latest global rom vs china rom... m1 sim card... china rom support voLTE... global rom no... china rom got steps counters etc.. global dun have... and there are others also... china rom usually more stable , got the fastest updates and the most features.

Thanks thanks.

So I just need to install Playstore from Mi App and use as per normal right? Do I need to take note of anything ? I can just update my phone? Btw are those xiaomi phone your main phone?

Well, both China and global rom have their own pros and cons. Main thing is that as long as u can live with it, is a good rom.

Cos ppl will also bring in eu rom and the whole conversation continues =)

Brought my phone to Gardens by the Bay to shoot orchids flowers inside Flower Dome. Very impressed with the photos for a phone < $300.

Sent from Xiaomi REDMI NOTE 5 on My Republic Uno Plan using GAGT

u either dont use china rom, dont update your phone or dont use your phone then.

i have 3 people here using redmi note 5 with the same sync bugs and the same china apps on every update lol.

Go mi app store search for Google.. Install that.. It will install everything u need.. If u encounter app got problem auto start or not responsive in notification then just enable autostart and give them all the permissions in settings. Under battery also adjust to no limit instead of miui battery saver if u still facing issues..

Miui is strict with apps that is Good.. So u manually need to adjust above.. This is not only for China Rom.. Global rom also same..

True.. I been trying out all types of rom for max1, mix, 5 plus and note 5.. Still China rom is the better one in each models. Some more battery consumption is much better.. Now I have a China rom and global rom note 5 AI here.. Global rom no support for VoLTE period and buggy. Anyway I m using max 3 China rom.. Superb phone all ard way better then note 5 AI.

Lol, dont need to defend china rom so much. there are issues and it should be highlighted. u are just hiding it.

Why should I hide it.. As said before I got both global and China rom set.. I can compare.. So I know best.. U prefer global is yr choice.. I know what is better obviously.
