Can anybody confirm if the china variant of note 5 is USB C or mirco USB? so many conflicting info online

you should be able to check it by tapping "kernel version" in "About phone" and get into 1. Version Information.

Seems like another reviewer with the samsung camera. Very good video quality without the focus hunting issues of all redmi phones

Yeah, the Redmi Note 5 is indeed an upgrade. It's almost like buying mid range Samsung at half the price.

aliexpress sellers are selling the chinese set. regardless of what they are listing it for.

The indian sets are even harder to get than chinese sets.

Don't think so. According to their global version claim, there is an additional band enabled, B20 that most European country need.

Furthermore, everyone is claiming pre-order which shouldn't be the case when Redmi Note 5 has already been released for the China version.

We might be witnessing the case of Redmi Note 3, whereby there is the Kenzo (normal) vs Kate (additional B20 band).

This then brings the issue of will Xiaomi still enable QC3.0 for the Global set with additional band?

Seems like QC3.0 is the differentiating point across all the region variation besides the camera.

qc doesn't matter on a phone with 2 day battery life.

Quick question, if buy from Qoo10 @ $329 (64GB/6GB RAM) but go down collect that time, they give 4GB version, how sia ? Or give U India set instead of China set ?

i think seller replied in one of the q&a that it is china set. i've just asked whether it's 4gb or 6gb. will update here if i get a response.
