Wondering how the XM N5 6GB ver will measure up agnst Samsung A8+ since both sporting 6GB ram and 64GB storage, thought of getting either.

Redmi Note 5 better GPU, A8+ better CPU. If you game a lot, better to get Redmi Note 5.

Hi. I am buying a Redmi 5 Plus off carousell. It is supposed to be a local set. How do I check/ensure that it is a legitimate model and that the OS/ROM is how it should be? (Are there any fake ones?)

For now, I don't think there's a fake Redmi 5 Plus. If local set, should have receipt with IDA sticker on the box.

Thanks! I am loving that this phone has a big battery, I hope it really last. I am using an old iPhone 5 which only has a few hours of battery.

Yes better. But it also has a higher resolution display to push so the different might not be super huge, but it's still a significant improvement.

Well for mine is the global version. Doesn't have the China bloatwares and useless apps. Only Mi apps. I believe it's the China version (note 5 AI), with global rom, because the front camera is the 13MP one

I think mine is the China one just that the rom flashed is a global rom. So I think it's pretty worth the price
