I have the China set 3/32GB and unfortunately i'm facing the delayed (or none) notifications from WhatsApp/Airbnb etc unless I open up the app.

tried setting these apps to autostart and disable battery saver but not working. seems like a common issue but only affecting certain users only.

my mi max2 on Android 7.1 has no such issues (as I migrated from Mi Max 2 to RN5)

lock the important apps in your ram.

Just tested QC using the mi powerbank 2.
phone was on idle but not off.
from 20-80%

20% - 00min
30% - 11min
40% - 18min
50% - 25min
60% - 31min
70% - 40min
80% - 50min

For comparison, the p20 pro got 20-80% in 47min while in a shut down state.
mi6x does 1-80% (2400mah, same as 60% of 4000mah) in 45min with a qc3 charger.

'For Head ups. Just back from service center, the service officer checked my imei and yes it comes with local warranty even set delivery address is from Malaysia.

And they said that if set delivery address is with malaysia, Singapore xiaomi will still bear the warranty.

Beginning to ponder if getting N5 is a worthy upgrade over Mimax 2, afterall we get what? better display? better cam+the SD636 but sacrifices on the USB-C, smaller screen and a lower battery endurance?

I want to say. I'm really impress with the knowledge the people here... you all really know so much while most of us just regular users and rely on you all when we need help.

You'll be more "impressed" by the no. of ahbeng shop runners/hp shop operators, dealers etc in disguise here.

Imei or SN is on the box also ? Maybe can even test on the spot before opening the box if seller claim xiaomi SG warranty. If true, seller should not object, right ?

They will just insist and repeat that local warranty is covered. These ppl are trained to keep repeat the same thing.

Up to you to believe what they tell you (until the day your fone is really spoilt within the warranty period and you send it down to its svc ctr).

Like the other guy mentioned - Buy dun scared. Scared dun buy. Want true piece of mind, then go to its official store buy.

Not sure. They guys at rwm was quite sure it's warranty is covered by xiaomi local..... Hope nothing goes wrong... I have full receipt to back up the purchase.

Anyway, the power adaptor fromnthe box is a 2 pin type and not the SG 3 pins. Just wondering what 4h3 configuration if anyone bought from local xiaomi shop (suntec)?

Well, moi can only say if what that guy said is true then XM has really pwn itself by its own statement below.

How do you know if you're purchasing an official Xiaomi phone?

1) Find the IMEI number (see how to below)
2) Click on the link and key in your IMEI number: mi.com/verify/#imei_en

If your delivery address states "Singapore", then it's eligible for warranty at our service centre!

They dun mind help cover warranty even tho the set(s) are "imported" from bolehland.

i reflashed everything to global rom, now works fine

You managed to overcome the 360 hour wait? I can't even login my mi account on my phone.

I have a couple of issues with my phone:

- Pokemon Go can't detect GPS (GPS set at high accuracy and the necessary permissions have already been given)

- Can the fingerprint scanner be used to remember passwords? So far mine is only used for unlocking the phone, and I do not now how to use it for other things (running stock China ROM)

- Can the fingerprint scanner be used to remember passwords? So far mine is only used for unlocking the phone, and I do not now how to use it for other things (running stock China ROM)

You can also use the fingerprint to lock apps too, if I'm not wrong.

Local warranty is just a trick. It can be shop warranty. What you want is agent or manufacturer warranty.

More then often, manufacturer warranty is always there. Even you get a parallel importer set, you can always send back to claim warranty if cost of shipping is not a concern.

Bedok Mall has an outlet for Xiaomi. I bought the 10k powerbank and asked the staff if it is original and they said it is. Anything wrong after 7 days send to clark quay service centre.

Base on their website store locator, bedok mall is not in the list. Siao like kena con.

The fingerprint is another form of authentication. Yes, I've tried unlocking apps (ie OS level). Also, some apps, eg Paylah also use it as an alternate authentication (ie inside the app).

You can also use the fingerprint to lock apps too, if I'm not wrong.
