the global version supports full EU lte bands and loses china bands

the TW version gets full EU lte bands and full Australia lte bands.

I'm seeing strange wording on my redmi note 5. I have checked and the language under setting in the phone is set to English. Phone is running global rom out of the box. Can anyone help?

Those who are using the AI version, may i know what does the AI do? I was at the rrtail store just now trying out the phone but i cant figure out what the AI really does.

Yeah, actually the TW version is the best in terms of band support, but I don't think any resellers here are selling TW sets.

The AI is being used to detect the scene that the camera is taking, and the system will adjust the relevant camera setting automatically to capture the photo.

The AI is also used heavily when you're using the front camera. The system will automatically beautify the selfie, such that it won't look too overly-processed.

Does it show tags on the bottom of the screen or something? Like p20 pro when the camera is pointing at flower, it will put tag on the botton showing "flower".

Those bought from rwm can nao "test" if their stocks are really official MI SG-warrantied.

I just bought from rwm and the result says Malaysia hahaha.

Not sure. They guys at rwm was quite sure it's warranty is covered by xiaomi local..... Hope nothing goes wrong... I have full receipt to back up the purchase.

Anyway, the power adaptor fromnthe box is a 2 pin type and not the SG 3 pins. Just wondering what 4h3 configuration if anyone bought from local xiaomi shop (suntec)?

According to Xiaomi fb, it says Singapore.
I also considering buying from them. Now not sure...
Is the imei or serial number on the box? May be I can verify first before buying.

edit: The AI on Redmi Note 5 only works for the Portrait Mode feature and Selfie Beautify for the front camera.
