Lolz...... true. ... but there's a reason for ding donging..... wanted a global rom.... thus, was doing my research. Anyway, after talking to jtbc..... decided not to order from them as its like lucky draw to get global rom set. This is the result when you hesitate and ding dong in making a purchase..
Sent from Xiaomi MI MAX using GAGT
Do u all have 4g+ on circles network? Mine only 4g...
Yes. Must wait. The flashing is ezpz.. The wait is the *******..To flash global rom yourself need to unlock bootloader is it?
I need to wait for like 360 hours
Dunno how the shops do it
Xiaomi only allows intraband CA or interband CA with B8 + B3/7/38 only, based on the available Singapore network bands.
B3 + B7 (M1 only have the spectrum on these two spectrum now) LTE CA isn't allowed.
So for all M1 customers, it's only LTE Cat 4 (150Mbps) peak only, no LTE Cat 6 (300Mbps) peak. No 4G+ in layman's terms.
This issue is present on all Xiaomi smartphones, in the form of intraband CA only, or interband CA without B3+B7 support.
I see. Later I tried with a M1 and Singtel Sim card to see... Thanks for the explanation.
i bot mine via carousell after trying a few which were pretty bad. can just check out the link, see if u can get same model/brand via qoo10/lazada/shopee i guess.I bought firered in China. Coming to sg tomorrow. Then try flash global and see.
Got screen protector to recommend? Non carouhell
I just got mine, so abt 10 days from jitbc order confirmation. Had some issue with fingerprint sensor but finally got it to work.
Rom is 9.5.6 global oiimifa which is kinda worrying cos I thot its supposed to be oeimifa
update:anyway started the process for the 360h unlock..so ridiculous
This post is valid for many Xiaomi smartphones that support interband CA. For Samsung/Sony/ASUS/Apple and some other brands, 4G+ is already supported due to B3 + B7 CA allowed.
M1 don't have 4G+.
StarHub have very limited 4G+ coverage, mainly B7 + B38 (FDD+TDD LTE both on 2600MHz).
SingTel have 4G+ in many places, mainly because of B8 + B3/7/38.
Upcoming TPG will have 4G+ too, B8 + B38/40
All three will only have 4G+ once B28 is made available starting next year, but only on compatible handsets.
Note: RMN5 don't support LTE B28, so it won't support.
Available options:
- M1: B28 + B3
- M1: B28 + B7
- SingTel: B28 + B8 + B3
- SingTel: B28 + B8 + B7 + B38
- StarHub: B28 + B3
- StarHub: B28 + B7 + B38
- TPG: B8 + B38 + B41
However, this is just the theoretical max 4CA. If Xiaomi finally implements B3 + B7/38, SingTel 4G can get up to 5CA, as long as the handset supports it.
My old Samsung note 4 is 4G+ with M1. 4G+ fir M1 is free add value package.
Is a 2% drop in battery overnight idle normal?
