Just bought a set from official store two days back, first thoughts_

Slightly heavy but the build seems robust and feels quite premium.

Phone does amazingly well in ops, the miui interface seems to work very well for me since the first gen so no complaints, games are blazing smooth w/o hiccups which is good for a gaming guy like me.

No doubt the best point would be the camera, shots taken with this model gave me one of the best stuff in these recent years.

Battery life is superbly balanced, able to sustain an entire day's activity till I reach home.

A worthy successor indeed to note 4.

Hi. Just a quick check - my phone originally ran Chinese ROM, which I have flashed to Global. If I do a factory reset on this, it should still be in Global right? Thanks!

Just got a export set from Mustafa at $269 for 4/64, but too bad they only have blue and gold no black, in the end go for the blue. Official global rom.

Dun mind can gpgt a few pics ?

Btw it cums with the standard 3-pin plug charger or the 2-pin rounded plug ?

it has a imda sticker, comes with a uk charger and global rom.

the redmi words on the box is in eng.

paid 239 for it.

i just check it's still 239 on their shopee page.

i guess which version you get depends on luck one.

from jtbc @ shopee. This is actually my 1st purchase at shopee so I thot order received=receipt so I clicked receipt when I got it. So used to aliexpress. Now going thro shopee hoping to get a swap at least.

Shopee cannot refund after you verify the received? If still need to go down for the swap, that would be a hassle

that's what they say. I asked about the 15 day return and they said that only applies if you don't click received.

anyway, I'm getting the runaround from shopee, so I doubt I'm going to get a swap/refund. this will be my 1st and last purchase on shopee, gonna just delete the app. terrible service, i keep repeating I have a fake rom, and they keep saying there is no update......

Also can i know how to check if it is a real or fake ROM?

Check the code behind. If its OIIMIFA, it's fake rom. If its OEIMIFA, its official rom. But from what u said that it has 9.5.6.0, most likely its OIIMIFA fake rom.

I didn't click the receive button and was told that I can return it. Shopee will schedule a ninja van to pick up from my hse.

Tried to upload some photos to Facebook, but only those on the SD card can be read by the app. Those in photo storage cannot be found. Anyway to work around this problem?
