I assume redmi note 5a pro is using the same battery...

Anyone knows how much to replace the battery? Suddenly lost charge and deplete to 0% within mins after 100% charged.

Or you guys would recommend to buy new phone instead? This phone is for my mum. Simple play games watch videos usage. Any recommendations what model under $100 or $150 is a good buy?

Nowadays a decently entry about 180-250. If fixing is like 60 bucks should still worth fixing but if it’s 80-100 then is not worth (imo)

Are u able to fix the battery by yourself watching the YouTube DIY videos? It is not very hard.

If so, then replacing the battery is very cheap, it is just $10 to $15 (including tools to pry open the casing). I checked Shopee.

By the way, in case u are buying a new phone and not using this phone anymore, then I would like to request you to give me the phone as I still have use for such a phone.

U can buy the silicone button pop-up replacement and replace it, see if it solves the problem.

lol . most likely switch issue. next time use tap to wake, auto switch on. even without power button can still use phone

Alternatively when u plug in to charger it will try to power on. if you hold volume down it will go fastboot mode.

download adb files, plug the phone to pc and type
fastboot reboot

It will boot normally
