Anyone knows if toa payoh or amk sells tempered glass screen protector ? Cos nearer my place lol

Considering the costs of a tempered glass such as the Mocolo is bout $15 (based on the WTS links) .... Is it better / worth it than getting a normal screen protector $10?

Any negative effects to this?

sian, lost my sandisk micro sd card. wpiang.

after playing around, haven't rooted. test awhile first see got any hardware issue first.

battery life is good, deep sleeping nicely, tested with cpuspy.
antutu benchmark score is close to my fully loaded n3, except the gpu part.

comparing a $199 phone and $1098 (launched price) phone, it's really good.

anyone know how the octa-core powers?

i'm thinking there's a way to undervolt it to use only 2/4core, and only use all 8 when running on full capacity. that being said.

just rooted mine.

nice of miui to have native root gui support (in the security app), once you root you get to use miui's native root control gui to manage rooting and permission

i discovered there's a cpu saving feature that's enabled by default. disabled it and got 29k out of Antutu with firmware 23.0 (from 28k), fresh out of the box

but of course that's just for testing purposes. the cpu throttling feature is back on.

in answer to your last sentence, the cpu throttling feature is possibly already doing what you're thinking of doing. most smartphones, if not all, are throttling cpu speeds based on load to conserve battery life and prevent critical heat buildup

Mocolo's glass screen protector isn't as good if you ask me. I bought from a seller that claimed it was Mocolo and the oleophobic coating isn't as great as glass screen protector from other sellers at less than $10. Unless it isn't actually Mocolo?

Anyway, I would say it's worth the extra to go glass. They are normally a lot clearer than normal screen protector with little to none colour distortion (rainbow effect when viewing at angle). Those with good oleophobic coating will feel smoother to the touch too, and will accumulate a lot less fingerprints then even those matte anti fingerprint screen protector. They are a lot easier to clean too.

I haven't encountered any downsides. Touch response are still as good as when it was naked. If you ask me once I went to using glass screen protectors, I've been getting it for all the phones that I use. It's hard to go back. They are more durable too and less susceptible to scratches, so meaning need to change less often. End up save more over time if you ask me. :p

I second that. Once glass won't go back to those film type already. It's really good.

Oh yes, Android 4.2 & up, and also IOS.

I suspect its mainly due to the fact that the MIUI is new perhaps.

Sigh .. any idea when the Kit Kat version will be out for the Note?

Miui 6 will be announced on Aug16 , not sure if KK will be released then.

Normal screen protector for $10 ?? Don't get ripped off by the resellers. I can spare you 1 FOC. Don't even need to pick up from me, i can mail it to you if you want. I'm not even using any SP.

About a week plus into using the Note.

Anyone experiencing random exits back to the home screen, without touching the buttons?
