is App2sd workable on redmi note? possible to move apps to sd card?
go in a room, set up a table lamp pointing in a direction (preferably towards u so u can check for dust using glare)

wash your hands with soap

turn off fan and aircon, or any circulation devices, and let the air settle for a while, maybe 1 minute.

unpack and put the screen protector and all its provided accessories on your lap. don't put on the table, or any time u take u will stir up a lot of dust

with the table lamp on, wipe your screen with the alcohol swab to dissolve/soften all contaminants

wipe your screen with the lint free cloth to remove all contaminants

using the lamp, u will notice that dust fibres will land on it once in a while. minimise your body actions to prevent stirring up dust. use the provided sticky tape to gently stick up any dust fibres that land, and keep looking for more fibres.

once the screen remains clean for a while, tear off the back end of the screen protector. tempered glass protectors are hard, so it won't flop around, won't be very tin tei. just hover it on the screen and drop it on once u feel the alignment is perfect. do this part without moving much, since dust can get on the back of the protector too

if you work in a factory with a clean room (hepa filtered), u can use that too lol, can save time in getting rid of dust

Your glass film looks good but kind of expensive.

I bought mine from Tmall as well; 2 HongMi plus 2 Samsung Note2 films - total 4 glass films for less than $12! I bought those 0.2m thickness with arc edge. If you want cheaper, then go for the flat edge. The same 4 films will be about $9!

They have films for HongMi Note as well; Y9.90 for 0.2 m flat edge side or Y12.90 for 0.2m arc edge. One of the top seller in Taobao.

Ditto. Bought the "Samsung leather like batt casing". And just ordered a tempered glass protector. Was using a normal screen protector but i hated the fingerprint stains.

Btw, it is easy to DIY apply the glass protector? I remember there are shops that do the pasting for $4 or so.

tempered glass way better..

never gonna use plastic ones anymore :s13:
get the ones with coating and its pretty easy to apply :D

After using mi note for awhile I just feel that the UI somehow lag compare to iphone. How do we increase the 2gb mem? Seem like OS eaten up 1gb. We left with 1gb to launch the apps

this is due to the android os behind being 4.2.2..

kk shld help this problem, but dunno when redmi will get :s22:

Good post.

I made a mistake of not ensuring my phone surface is free of dust. Big mistake! When I tried to wipe the dust off the film, it got worse. Almost had to throw the film away but I managed to save it in the end.

One thing to note is that the bottom side of the glass film (the side protected by a plastic sheet) is electrostatically charged to ensure good adhesion with the phone surface. As the result, it attracts dust! You need to be careful once you remove the plastic sheet and not place this side on anything including the lint-free cloth.

it doesn't make sense the delay because we ordered other accessories. the thing is the package is in SG already. So the obvious problem is they don't have enough man power to deliver the package. it just our luck that the our delivery has been pushed back.

i am not sure if we can self collect. you can try to contact fedex. i just can't believe fedex is worst than singapore post. this is my first time to have delivery date reschedule 3 times.
The only explanation would be there are too much for delivery and they cannot get enough staffs even outsourced to a third party. I ordered mine from 5 Aug batch, and got it yesterday night at 2330h! A meimei kept calling me and said she was around my area and asked whether can come over to deliver my Note. Since I wasn't sleeping yet, why not. When arrived, she kept on apologizing for disturbing me so late which of course I gladly pardoned her, knowing her bf, maybe, was in the car as well. Hahaha ... If the bf called and delivered to me so late, sure kanna scolding from me.

well, it's their problem and responsibility to deliver it on time. first of all in Xiaomi FAQ stated that the phone will be arrived within 5-7 working days. if there is delay they will give notification. I got 0 notification. Secondly, Fedex has given me the delivery date which is on Monday (11 Aug), but as for now it has been changed 3 times push back until next Monday. If you are working in service line you should know what is "manage customer expectation".

Now they are adding 1 more stunt. in the tracking page they conveniently added 1 more record on Monday 11:44 Delivery exception SINGAPORE SG Future delivery requested. Until yesterday afternoon before I called them, this record not even exists. They didn't come to my home neither I called them to change the delivery date.

So now to cover their mistake, they add more lie and push the blame to the customer. well done.

if dust stick on the screen protector. just use some scotch tape to extract the dust, be it on screen protector or phone. it works well.
thats how i do it on any mobile phone. u can see outside shops also using the same techniques
