V30 of the fw is out and 1 of the changes is the changing of photos taken by camera to SD card

Updated to V30 via TWRP. After the update, root will be lost, so have to re-root again. It reinstall all the google apps that I have deleted, so have to do another round of deletion again. Yes, photo taken by camera can be saved to SD card now. On the camera setting, there is an option to Save To SD. Overall, it transition effect is "smoother" than V29. PS: Remember to do a backup before flashing the update.

normally when i move my whatsapp i just move the whole folder across..

I tried to restore chat history but can't make it work. Im follow below steps... Hope someone can get me to collect ways.
1. Backup whatapps at old phone
2. Copy whatapps folder from old phone to sd card
3. Insert sd card to xiaomi note
4. Install whatapps n setup
5. Key in hp number N verify
6. Whatapps auto completed setup but no restore option.

What wrong ?

Copy whatsapp folder to phone, not external sdcard.

You have to copy the WhatsApp folder into the main device storage from your microsd. WhatsApp never reads on sd card I think..

This may work: delete whatapps folder in the phone storage, and then copy the one from the sd card over to phone storage. Then reboot.
