Any LINE users here? I keep having delayed notifications from LINE. It doesn't happen to whatsapp or wechat.
Has anyone faced the same problem?

Yes. It happened on my phone.. It is especially happened if you open the Line app for the 2nd time or more. Something wrong with the OS management or the app interaction with the phone os, or the combination of them.

ie: when you press back to close the line app, or press home button to close the app, sometimes the app / the phone didn't handle the proper closing of the line app, hence causing messages not delivered.

Only after you kill the line app and clean the memory (by pressing and hold) the options button (the lower left button), then the app closed properly and your notification will come..

so, what I always do is to clear the memory of all the apps whenever possible.

why don't you call xiaomi service centre? ask for a price there instead of asking us ma

update us when you have their prices and procedure? so we can have mental prep when our notes screen break on how much money we're going to have to spend

Once repaired, you may want to look for tempered glass screen protector.. I have one from ebay, only $5. good quality. much more scratch proof compared to plastic screen protector. tried knife, keys, etc. can't scratch.

Haven't dropped it yet... so dunno if really can protect the screen or not..

Help. In Korea now. Using a local sim in the slot 1 (GSM/WCDM) and my Starhub sim in the other slot 2 (GSM).

Cannot get mobile network using Starhub in that slot. Detected the SIM, but no network. Cannot make calls.

When I did a reversal. The slot 2 cannot detect mobile network with my local Korean sim.

Is there smthing wrong w my slot 2?

GSM definitely cannot work in Korea because it only supports CDMA-2000 standard.

OK. That's odd. Cos my Starhub sim can work in both Slot 1 & 2. Its just that what ever card I put into Slot 2, somehow 'service' not found.

Just updated to miui-jhdcnbf 30.0.

Anybody experience having problem using play store after updated to 30.0? I can only use market to download app now and many apps in market are not updated!

Can't use YouTube too.

Anybody can help?

1) I would have to download or wait for the OTA to update to v30?

2) Realised that the phone has only 5gb left when it comes? Is this normal? Cheers

1. Either you wait or manually update to v30. Meanwhile you can update OTA to v 29.0.

2. This is normal. Whenever a manufacturer states the memory capacity, it's the gross amount. After formatting it would be lesser and after including the android + xiaomi system files, it's even lesser. Treat it as a computer harddisk after formatted and windows installed.

Aiyo, I didn't know its China ROM, no wonder cannot use YouTube.

Any issue if update to global ROM now?

Just curious, why you want to update to China rom (I believe China rom does not come with playstore, need to go Mi market to download playstore etc) ? SG rom should be using the global rom, which is JHDMIBF30.

Just curious, did you configure the home/back buttons to "close app" or "none" in settings ?

If you lock the LINE app in memory, will it cause the problem also ?

No.. I didn't configure the button to close the app. The back button currently set to none. I believe it it something to do with the OS itself. Because it didn't happen with my old nexus 4.

There are many states need to be handled by the phone. I'm suspecting either the OS or the Line app didn't handle some of the states correctly, causing the notification to be not delivered. That's why, just to be safe, I always cleaned the memory, which in effect destroy and close the app.

I didn't lock the LINE app in the memory. I have 2 apps locked in the memory currently. one is go sms (this is to wake up the screen and remind me whenever there is sms. My work require constant reminder of sms coming to my phone). another one is call recorder, to record incoming and outgoing call.
