am using the piston earphones & i didnt face such issues.
iirc the 1st time u plug in an earphone there'll be 2 icons shown for setup, 1 is the optimising of earphone type (Settings-Sound-Optimise audio quality) & the other is the setting of earphone buttons (Settings-Headphone). Maybe u can try playing around with the settings

Still same, tried 3 diff earphones n still same problem. After I plugged ouu, the earphone icon still there n I can't hear the other caller n they can't hear me unless I use my earpiece. Damn frustrating

use the secret code *#*#MIUI#*#* and do those headset tests i.e plug in / plug out etc

if anything fails u probably will have to make a trip to the service centre

for goodness sake. stop posting delivery status in every post. this phone will be delivered to you no matter what.

i am more interested in the issues or queries people raised and if there is a possible solution to it, which would be useful to current users or potential users. by posting delivery status dosnt value add to this thread.

can we stay focus and make this thread useful to others instead of "where is my phone?" "Its in shenzhen now!" whatever im not interested in where your phone is fyi.

no offence to anyone but this delivery status thing is really getting out of hand. 9/10 post is about delivery frustration or updating of delivery status.
fyi, you can also try asking in the miui forums, either the device sub-forum, or the local sg sub-forum

how is the review for redmi note video recording? :s12:

Like the camera, it is pretty average. No OIS, so can't expect good quality stabilisation, just digital. Continuos auto focus mode seems to better than tap to focus in video mode. Tap to focus is hit and miss, and focusing not that fast. Auto exposure when moving from dark to light area is not as fast as I would have liked, and the transition is rather jagged and not smooth. Audio recording of video isn't great too, and it doesn't seem to have noise cancellation, or it is just not that great. I tested in a room with a small fan and can hear the fan whirring very clearly in the video. lol. The quality is pretty much what I expect from a low end device.

I guess its because the delivery (redmi world wide travel) is more interesting than the phone itself. :s13::s13::s13:

Honestly, speaking the Redmi Note is kinda bit of a bore comparing it with the quality of the Zen now. Look at the threads in this forum. Its obvious.

Does anyone have problems with connecting Redmi Note to pc for file transfer?

Seems like there's only 2 modes, photo and file. I chose file. Then as i try to copy something in, my windows explorer will load for very long as if it cannot complete the operation. Then later i try again, it will tell me unable to copy.

I cant even create a folder in the internal storage

I encountered this with my mac, not sure if it is the same issue. The phone could not connect to the Android File Transfer app. I tried reboot, reformat, etc, all cannot. In the end i unplug a other US devices connected to my mac, and try a different USB port, and all is well.

The same port that gave issues on the Redmi Note works for pretty much every other android phone I've tried it on. HTC One, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Moto G, Moto X, etc.

Weird i know, but maybe give that a try???
