Stocks for Redmi 1s and Mi Power Bank still available, looks like a lot of people chiong for Redmi Note...
Well, despite faster processor and bigger capacity of the 1s everything else is still the same.. for $30 more you get a screen on par with the note in terms of size, why not? :)

weird that different country has different battery capacity. SG version think 3100mAh, while i've seen 3200mAh.

Edit: They downgraded the size of the battery for SG model, or was it just an error previously? Below is a cached version of the page a few days back. Now if you go see the page, it says 3100mAH.

any kind heart can sell 1 to me if u placed 2 orders

The only "kind hearts" are those assholes who buy them to flip them for a profit. Don't support such shitty behavior. If you buy from the forum, either buy at cost (maybe including $10 for transport fee), or don't buy at all and wait for the next batch.

You won't die from not having a Note. I too wanted to buy one, but the xiaomi webpage hung, so I was not able to get one. But I'm NOT buying from these profiteers.

Precisely, if really need a note and can find on at $10 more go for it. Otherwise those prata flippers can leave their prata overnite and eat it themselves and kanna food poisoning :s13:

Don't understand why you ordered a 1s when your intention was for the note. :s22:

For me, I bought a note as the tab pro LTE doesn't seem very suitable for a phone due to it's size.. not to mention that kitkat is really incompatible with some apps (like QVOD) and is messing up my HK VPN which doesn't work as well :(

So a phone with JB is still a better choice..

Anyway, to those who missed round 1.. better luck next round.. don't support flippers :D

Actually, I don't understand xiaomi's business model here. They release their products in small batches that irritates the hell out of customers. Even now, if you go to their website, the Redmi 1s, Mi3 and Note are ALL OUT OF STOCK. What kind of stupid online sales site has all their phones out of stock all the time?

Even in the HWZ review, it was stated as 3200mAh. Weird. Short supply of 3200mAh battery? lol.

It's call hungry sales tactic. The out of stock is there to irritate and encourage u to try harder next time.

“物以稀为贵”。。

Its a chinese saying that goes to describe rare items being "valuable".

Their tactic is a form of advertisement. When they release in small quantities, many people will try to buy it, but those who did not get, will try again the next round.

With this tactic, the products in the market remains rare and that many people will still be curious about it.

With the low pricing, it encourages people to hold on their other purchases first in hope to get xiaomi the next round..

Therefore, such tactic will help to prolong the survival of xiaomi in singapore's market where not many people know xiaomi as of now.
