Xiaomi redmi note

I experienced this error of windows 7 cannot install usb drivers for my note. There is this 'T8850' detected by windows and it cant find any driver. Anybody has similar issue?

I went to Google for some solutions. They suggested install them manually, but failed after I tried them.

Hey all... I'm still can't decide whether get xiaomi note or zenfone 5 ($200) or 6 ($299). In term of price zenfone 5 is cheaper as it come with earpiece. Notice xiaomi note is more popular compare to zenfone. I believe there must be reason n I may be not aware. Before I'm decide.. Can your share what make u decided to get xiaomi note. Thanks

I got same problem as you. But I can't be bothered about zenfone 6. It's way too big.
For zenfone 5 here is what's good and bad

Good
Better build
Interface is actually more fluid.
Smaller so easier to handle.
Lighter by 50gram
More color choice
Dual Sim 3g
Better touch screen response.
Currently almost same price as redmi note. By $1

Non removable batt
Poor battery life
Non back-lit keys
Li-po battery (UPDATE! i realise redmi note also using Lilthium Polymer Batt!)

Big so harder to handle

Getting the Note on 25Jul14 10pm.
FedEx really siow... fly that unit to MY... then back to CN and now in SG.
Question... want to watch AVI movie on Note.
Just dump the file into the microSD ?
Need to format the microSD with the Note ?

Sony SmartWatch 2 is working on Redmi Note, tried a few extensions (Call handling, Messaging, Phone Dialer), all working.

Previously on Redmi 1, can only use WatchIt! to receive notifications; cannot answer call, dial out etc.

THose who want to add a BT earpiece to XM Note, if initially Note cannot detect the BT earpiece, try to turn on the BT earpiece and hold on longer on the on / off buttion on the earpiece. Then Note will detect.

Happened that, my Note can detect the selfie stick BT trigger easily but not my BT earpiece.

ZF has better build and near to stock android. IMO. If I've extra bucks, i would go for ZF5.

Note also not bad. It might be heavy and thick. It still served it purpose.

I have near to stock android on my note. It is a matter of effort only to find the right ROM and delete necessary bloatware.

It was initially reserved for someone, but he who had reserved decided to give it a miss since he would have gone for another model.

My daughter open up to play but find it too big for her uniform pocket. So we intend to sell it off at $220.

May not be the cheapest set around, but it is definitely the most perfect and mint set available. Local set, with 1 year warranty.

Wow thats very shitty battery life considering its already a 720p screen with low specs. Xiaomi have to up their game and focus on the poor reception signal issue
