Here's my take.. because miui is based on the older jellybean. 1gb models.. tend to suffer, especially when multitasking.

So always go for the 2gb models.

Yes I figured the miui is quite resource intensive.

If you were using a really really old feature phone, then yes... but nowadays, the 8 hours thing is not very applicable. but you can always still do that... but it doesn't really help anymore

When I 1st started up Google Maps, there was an MiUi notification to allow Maps to access location. I accidentally clicked 'disallow'

Now do I reset these permissions?

Seems that the case needs to have a chip embedded on it ,I think qoo10 sells them .Not sure how well it works as I heard the app not 100% working with note nor with other phones as in the reviews hence not really reliable.

I bought the double opening ones in taobao which seems like a new trend ?At least not program dependent and 100% works .

How to change function of Home button of note? I dun want the lousy iphone home but the android one which select recent opened apps.

I got mine from sugarcane88 bro (1st link) at woodlands, but normally I prefer getting from WahjongKid bro (2nd link) since his location is much nearer to mine. But at that time he didn't have any stocks.

Go to Security app, then Permission. Look for Maps -> Location, then set to Allow.
