for mediatek chips is very difficult to get KK

they will arrive but at the moment they are not as mature as for instance the ones on snapdragon redmi 1S

By the way, i don't think it's a great move from xiaomi to discard redmi note dualsim altogether. My wife has it and i can say it's a much better device than my redmi (either 1 or 1s doesnt matter). I could do with the humongous size which i dislike to enjoy the dualsim/octacore/2GB ram/bettercamera

Imo.. don't even waste time with 1 or 1s,

the note 3g is a way better option.

bro it's a brick to lug around tho. not everyone fancy that. let alone the resolution of the screen is the same

Just dropped my xiaomi note into a bucket of water ... Now can't switch on ?
Anything I can do to save the phone ?

Try to use hair dryer to dry it and see if can turn it on or not. Bring back xiaomi customer care if they noticed water mark likely the warranty will void also, but can try.

Dropped my nokia 8810 in the toilet bowl before, they replaced the motherboard for me but warranty cannot be claim after the replacement.

100percent no more 3g note.

If drop in water,do not try to turn on. Put in dry rice. Got hope.

My note's touchscreen suddenly stopped working. Could it be a digitizer issue? The service center said its a motherboard issue and repair is not covered under warranty.

Strangely, everything else works and I'm able to use a mouse to replace the touch.

According to my father who was using my phone then, they managed to spot some corrosion on the motherboard and claimed that it may be due to 'exposure to water' which may void warranty.
