My 1S worked ok when I used hotel wifi (connect to hotel wifi, then open chrome and the login page will load)

have you tried default stock browser ? Or if you copy the address on your ipad on the login page and type into your note's chrome can work ?

I tried default & chrome browser same but next think of copying
the URL from iPad to Note..
My next oversea trip will be next year March..
Or maybe I try on local Wifi hot spot & see how..

i told you not, honestly. chip & ram wise, the note is a better device. My hindrances are the screen and size. But not for you, you said, hence my reply

Alright, thanks for your reply again. Will probably wait for sitex to come to get a note 3rd...Hopefully there'll be more freebies as well :D

Bro SH Power Value 80 can get $50 recontract voucher?
Thought only Power Value 100 and above plan they will give voucher.

Maybe because I'm a hub clubber and I have 4 postpaid lines under my name? I told them over the hotline that I would like to do a recon and asked if there was any recon voucher to go with it.

note 3rd? u mean note 3g?

1. note 3g is no longer available for sale by xiaomi's factories. meaning outside stock of authentic products are dwindling.
2. xiaomi never sells to third parties. the shops that do resell xiaomi products are doing it themselves. they are not authorised so they sell for a far higher price. xiaomi won't be at sitex.
3. noting point 1, the further into the future it is, the more increasingly likely the products u can find are fake

Yeah that's what I meant - note 3g (typo via my s3).

I am hoping to do a recon at starhub booth this sitex (this coming Thursday). It's a pity that snapdragon chipsets doesn't come with dual sim, it's really a nice to have.

I guess worst case scenario is to get note 4g...or 1S for its dual sim capability..?

my friends raided all the singtel/m1/starhub shops for redmi 1s/note between orchard, city hall until bugis with no luck.

Obviously I advised them to avoid SLS.

Not sure if they still sell 1S on xiaomi website now, but they didn't have time to buy from there cos in town for 5 days only

Have u tried the the authorised retailers? If you need an idea, singtel retailer at causeway point has the note 3G, not LTE version. But no harm asking right?

Barra: Upgrading to Lollipop is my #1 priority from a product perspective for our global business. As you know, we customize Android significantly and have our own design language — so what we’re tasked with now is not only all the technical aspects of putting Android 5.0 on our devices, like at the kernel level, but we also have to marry Google’s Material Design language with ours.

We want the best of both worlds for our customers. That’s in full swing at the moment, and you can expect MIUI 6 along with Android 5.0 on our Mi line of devices by the end of Q1 2015. That update will come to our Redmi devices too, but we don’t yet have an exact timeline just yet.
wait longlong
