thanks for the reply.
ax3600 - $100
ax6000 - $150
ax9000 - $250

i think ax3600 is enough for ap.....general users

if i want to look for router that can provide strong signal penetrate through 1 wall, which specs do i know at? numbers of antenna? or others?
U missed AX1800 around $75...
Using AX1800 since day 1, occasionally throw tantrums and refuse to connect to wan... other then that no major issues....
Wifi signal can penetrate wall but not glass, if close the balcony glass sliding door the signal will cut-off...
Plan to hoot one more to form a mesh... before the chip shortage jack up the prices....

dunnoe leh........my thinking is if can use 1 router for all...then no need to setup mesh.....
Right now, i see most people still using ax3600.......... like they won't spend more than x price on xiaomi router........

the signal for ax9000 actually quite strong, can penetrate 3 walls with full bars signal.

Just beware of the possible wall difference between SG and CN due to "sound proof" impacts

i hate to stay near the telecom towers those 5G signals are very bad for the brain...
It's not the thickness of the wall, its the unknown health impact on your brain which get bombarded 24x7x365... we will know the impact in 10yrs....

yea it's true. unfortunately as much as countries have their own regulation on how powerful device can "bombard", the actual situation is more than just that single device or tower.

In your own house, you may choose to manage the wifi transmission power but you can never control whats going around you. Like some bro mentioned, you can tune down your wifi or even switch it off all mobiles etc during night. But how about your neighbours or or other unknown devices that may be blasting beyond the regulated level.

And for telcos, it's not just the tower but also base stations and those in the building etc. If you think you try to avoid getting near to those spots, how about this : https://www.singtel.com/about-us/media-centre/news-releases/singtel-launches-genie .

I guess we have to learn to accept and face the reality that we are getting "bombarded" living in a crowded urban city or country like Singapore. If one is concerned about the health impact, try to go for regularly checkups. If one is so paranoid about this, then find a place fair in the mountains and live in a cave lor.

My take is to leave the unknown to those who need to figure it out.

The rationale is very simple, if you brought a house directly in front of the tuas incendiary ... chance of contracting lung cancer increase exponentially after 10yrs, because of the daily exposure... don't need to dispute its equivalent to smoking 4-5 packs of cigarettes everyday....

In life you have a choice.... Should avoid buying a unit directly under those towers, or the tower project directly into your house... The first 10 meters is the most deadly... there are research done exposing the mice to cellphone radiations and the mice developed tumour after 1yr... the last thing u want is to install a microwave beside your bed... if u get brain tumor... obi

For Singtel ONT users, you can use Xiaomi AX9000 (or AX6000) as an AP after a VLAN capable router like Singtel issued router, or use it as a router after VLAN capable smart switch.

Using smart switch like the cheap TL-SG105E.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/working-singtel-vlan-settings-with-tplink-sg108e.5746952/
So unless I am using the onr which i can configure it as an Ap, I have to connect this router behind another router? There is no way to make it work without any extra configuration? Can I call singtel to enable the router though on their end? I am not using mio tv.

What about other telcos? Starhub, m1, myrepublic?

No problems with other ISP.

For Singtel ONT, no other ways as of now. Once SSH is enabled by the hacker, then yes there will be ways. But it may take time for that to happen. Or when there are global FW like Xiaomi AX3600. I am not so sure when Xiaomi will bring AX6000 or AX9000 to the global market. Right now both are China only.

i have monitored ax3600 on both china and global firmware. it sends data out.

you know 160mhz is more like a market gimmick right? first your end device have to support it and if it does it only make sense if you use the 2.5G port. 80mhz ax already tops out the 1Gbps ethernet limit.
To be objective, in this age, any hardware or software that is connected to the net will send data back. Every company out there wants a slice of your data to sell, to use, etc. So I am not surprise this is the case here along with any other brands of router. The difference is where they send and how much they send that may differ.

yeah, win10 logs u're ip to their ncsi server if u don't disable tht and break gamepads/all metro apps, ure router by default syncs to timeserver if u don't disable tht, and newedge is a ms domain connecting mandatorytelemetry pos, but at least with a western brand router u can flash it to some open source firmware, unless it's the sg exclusive(aka no2.4g channel13) broken fireware ea8100 ofc, FU starhub

Just received my 1 unit from China. Freaking beast. I can’t imagine meshing 2 AX9000. $500 for 2 units. Lol! Just slightly more ex than 1 x AX88U and not even enough $$$ to pay for 1 x AX11000.
Haha! It was a breeze doing the setup using the mihome app.
