how to install youtube on firetv

https://www.firesticktricks.com/youtube-firestick.html

how to use the adaptor to change the usb power connector into a normal USB port

most likely those who cannot made it missed one step in the developers' option.

it is also possible to expand the internal storage from 8G to very big figure for installing of many apps or large game apps.
https://troypoint.com/expand-fire-tv-stick-4k-internal-storage/

I will let other users to go and figure out. I only know if the USB port is fully supported, Amazon would have made it selling point in their sale brochures. Many don't know how to connect. Users have to "hack"; some called them "hidden" functions. Amazon has other Fire TV that has the USB port and facility and they specified clearly and also how to use. I understand the developer option is not for users to play around.

Bro, any reason to change the backlight to 50 or 75? Thanks!

Understand many MiTV failed because of backlight problem.. the Global TV might not have this serious problem as it is back lited. but for those having ultra thin LCD panel, LED backlights are concentrated at the bottom. They can get very hot with full brightness. Lower the brightness lower the current flow thro these LED backlights. It is just a precautionary measure for longevity. Works or not up to individual believes.

What gpu you’re running and what are your com specs?

I can do 4k with 60hz.

Try install HEVC through Microsoft store and download all the latest driver.

Interestingly, I tried to play 4k Netflix through my pc, 5mins in, keep crashing and show error. The error mention something along the line of drm/hdcp protection... wth...

Bro any special setting when you connect your PC to the Mi TV? I connected my PC to Mi TV only shows HD resolution either through EDGE or Netflix app on Windows store. Weird. :s11:

@Rapture...I have the EXACT same problem as you. With the flickering too but now that is no longer happening. I also can't display 4k and I strongly feel the problem is that we can't get 60hz. We get what 4k-2ksmpte sh*t. Don't even know what is that. Seller told me to head down to Funan mall service centre to check it out with them. Still didn't manage to find the time to go. Please let me know if you found a solution. It is pretty frustrating

almost all of netflix's 4k shows are in 4k-2k smpte or 24Hz format, so it is normal to see this when running netflix.

for games, 60Hz is not high enough.

for movies, 24Hz is good enough, this is what you see in the cinema's big screen.

For TV to display 4K, the HDMI port must have HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2, otherwise, no possible. It might just happen that the connected HDMI port is faulty or has bad contact if there is nothing wrong with the cable and is the correct type. Switch over the next HDMI port and try it out.

I7 with GTX970, shouldn't be PC spec problem? Will try tonight with latest drivers again.

Weird problem to have with the 4k Netflix crashing, hmmm..

Omg. Hello ^5 lol. What did you do that it is no longer happening bro? I seem to get it whether i set to 1080p60z or any of the 4k resolutions. Do you think the issue is with the Mi TV or the Mi Box S? When i use the android/YouTube from the Mi TV only, no flickering at all. Since we have the same problem, unlikely it's a faulty Mi Box S as well? Seems funny both are Xiaomi products but when used together there is an issue.

From this - i gather you think it's a Mi Box S issue?

for games, 60Hz is not high enough.

for movies, 24Hz is good enough, this is what you see in the cinema's big screen.

Have tried setting to 4k-smpte, also does not show Netflix 4k UHD in the Netflix app.

Tried several cables and all 3 HDMI ports, all not possible to play 4k. I don't think it's a port or cable issue as YouTube is showing as 4k. And when i switch inputs to the Mi Box S, the resolution pops up at the bottom for a few seconds "HDMI 1".."3840x2160".. Should means it is displaying in 4k?

Thinking of maybe buying a cheaper Amazon Firestick 4k to try. Saw one bro here managed to get on sale at 19.99, but Amazon now showing 35.99. Anyone has a spare one for us to do testing? :D

@rapture - also remember to connect ONLY mi tv to pc。the 4k won’t appear for multi monitor setup unless ALL monitor are 4k and hdcp compliant.

Yup bro, only Mi TV was connected, nothing else was connected. Doesn't show 4k.

Hi guys

I placed an order for a 43 Inch TV from MinihelpersSG on 20 December 2019. In the listing they stated that there are ready stocks available and delivery will take 1-3 working days.

It has been 6 days since my order and there has been no set time and date of delivery from the seller. Response from the seller has been lacking and all they replied to my questions was vague timings of when the shipping will be dispatch.

Initially they gave an delivery date of 21 December but the item did not arrive and I wasted a day waiting at home for it.

After chasing them for an answer they replied on the 23 December with the expectation that the delivery will be dispatched by Thursday or the end of the week.

I then asked for a concrete time and date and they replied to expect delivery on Saturday or Monday.

The problem here is they are expecting me to be at home this whole week and the next so I could receive the package but I have to be at work as well.

Every other buyers has given feedback saying they receive their TV within the next working day. Are they fake reviews?

Qoo10 customer service has been no help at all because all everything they said was just a copy paste answer from the seller.

Should I bring this matter to CASE or the police as potential scam?

Anyone have solutions to the Xiaomi TV 4S not reaching 60hz? I try to play pc games on the Xiaomi TV 4S but can only hit max refresh rate of 30 hz instead of the 60 hz stated on the specs. I am using HDMI 2.0 cable so it shall not be the cable problem. Also under the advance display settings in windows there is no 60 hz options. Hope someone can help. thanks
