Run Anomly benchmark and compare the score between my friend S4 and my Mi3.

S4 got 177654 while my Mi 3 got 1134629

I'm going to China in a couple of weeks and wondering if I should pick one up. Is this International version available to buy in-store anywhere (Changsha) or must I order via xiaomi.com?

I can't read Chinese but I think it is only ￥1999 on their website which is very cheap even for 16GB version! Are these the same as the international version, i.e. not locked to any network?

Problem is "soon" could be any length of time and I doubt it will be as cheap. Hopefully it will be around S$500, maybe a bit more if it is a LTE version.

Maybe worth waiting though as lots of new models will be launched in the next couple of months from all the big manufacturers. May keep the price down on the MI3.

I'm not getting a Nexus 5 because I loved the MIUI rom on my original Galaxy S a few years ago and I also prefer using FM radio rather than the digital streaming kind. The camera seems much better as well.

If I see one for sale in China when I'm there though, I doubt I'll be able to resist!

Ya rumoured to be march but I guess the latest release date is May, cos the next gen phone of 2k display, 3gb ram, 13-16mp optical stabilizer and Android kitkat are coming out after that.

So xiaomi expected release date shd be much earlier than May so that they are able to milk the market before the next gen phone.

The TD version(Nvidia) only for China network while WCDMA(Snapdragon) is for international market.
