You know whats more ridiculous? Matte screen protector also out of stock in 5 mins.. Must be hand made... Only one protector for each Redmi??
The thing is...they appear to be VERY PROUD that they sold it out in 6 mins.

I mean, it makes more sense to shout about how many thousand sets you sold into SG market to show the "strength" of its branding rite?

Though we all know the real reason we are buy is the bang-for-buck price, and not really the branding (yet, at least...)

So hot. Next week Mi3 launch as hot anot? If come in 64gb with 4G, I sure whack

64gb mi3 non 4g version available in xiaomi China website, no pre order or queueing, no need to wait to launch on Singapore, but delivery only to China, so if you have friends colleagues coming to Singapore from China, can send to their office /home.

Check out my other post in this forum.

The Singapore version firmware for redmi is still not uploaded to the xiaomi miui site. If you purchase the China version, you have to do your own customization to download the Google apps and remove china contents not relevent to us.

Isn't there a difference between China and International versions?

"Hongmi phone has two versions. Its first version was TD-SCDMA is in fact 3G phone, only applicable for china market. However, after this version, Xiaomi released WCDMA version that is international 3G version."

does the hongmi charger bought frm the siaomi sg site comes in 3 pin plug?

I want to buy mi 2s. If I buy from taobao say from this link
http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?sp...d55e27b&pm_id=&sku_properties=122216431:27772
can I use it here in Singapore? and the charger will it be compatible with our plug socket here or need buy adapter?
anyone know?

Not v worth it...

For ard $320 without forwarder shipping(approx $15), might as well get Mi3 which is newer and better spec at $419 with 1 year local warranty.

Anyway the same model get from Xiaomi China website even cheaper at around $250+ only.. And Mi2s is last gen phone.. Now in 3-5 months time going to have Mi4 alr :s12:

Anyway the Mi2s can be used on Singapore network.

Mi3 is releasing real soon in SG, 16G version. Might be good to wait if you do not want to hassle with apps issues ie. Google Play store. Also it's quite 'china' so lots of stuff are in chinese.
64G versions are being released in China with less of the 'online 3 second dash' type of strategy. I think sellers will be getting it out here real soon.

My SGS2 finally broke down after 2 years and 3 months. I'm planning to get the Mi3 next week. I'm also a big fan of Cyanogenmod but it looks like they do not have release for Mi3 yet, couldn't find it anywhere even for unofficial ports. Anyways the MiUI looks promising, I think I'll give it a try.

By the way I hate the way they market their products...should've allow pre order instead of letting consumer camping in front of the computer.

I am thinking if its worth getting mi3 now, since my primary phone Xperia Z is still working.
Any rumors of mi4 release date?

This redmi permission manager has greyed out the option to allow for root option. This is unlike other miui rom.
So anyone know how to root it ?

Used the framaroot app, as rcmded, but din work, Other options sounds complicating. Also liking for simple root method. Btw, redmi usb drivers need to download separately?
