just got it and installed it over the weekend. really value for money and installation was fuss-free.

however, there was once i wifi with my phone and was accessing the album then the recording suddenly changed to "emergency recording" and started storing in the emergency recording folder instead of roadmap folder.

did it happen because i accessed the album so the camera had to switch storage location?

Just installed the xiao yi camera but I have quite a number of doubts;

1) I installed both Yi Action or Yi Dashcam to my android HP but I can't transfer the media file from Xiao Yi camera to my HP. Any advise how to so it?

2) I notice the recorded video clips are all short in duration. This is the normal?

3) I understand there is a way to convert Chinese to English for the setup. How about English manual?

Cheers

1. Connect to xiaoyi wifi and then connect to it. When u browse video, 1st tab is emergency video, go to centre tab for normal recording video. Click and dl to hp

2. All clips are 3mins

3. Just leave it in chinese firmware. Only need to toggle wifi on/off so no issue.

Followed the YouTube video but can't get it to English mode. Anyway left it in Chinese since it's easy to navigate anyway.

People throw you also cannot avoid or catch them unless you know the person, right?

To answer your question, can be done, is only nice to see or not.

I used to leave my cams 24/7, go back skim through, see already you wished you rather not have seen at all.

Hi guys can install two dashcam? One for front and one for shooting the driver and what's behind?

Cus mine is soft top 2 seater. Scared people throw rubbish into my car :(

Sent from . using GAGT

Difficult to install rear camera due to the soft top. My convertible only has the front camera too. One option is to install it behind the seats but the camera pov may be limited when the top is up.

Depending on the design of your boot lid it is possible to install under the boot lid but not advisable as the camera will be exposed to the outside elements.

Hope this helps. :)

Recently experienced the loss-of-focus issue under high heat (5 hours under the hot sun). Image quality was extremely blurry until after 20 minutes with the aircon on.
