Hi,
The maximum allowable memory card is 64G (class 10).
How about the minimum requirement memory card for proper recording, example 3-5hours of continous recording.

3 mins is about 400 over mb, do the math

This one can:

1) Choose lower quality to record?
2) Ownself override with new footage when storage is full?

Thanks in advance!

Lowest quality is 1080 @ 30frames abt 300+mb per 3 mins. It will auto overwrite oldest file when card is full excluding files that are locked.

Hi. Can i know if you turn on the car, will the camera auto start recording? Or you need to always press a button to start it?

Similarly, do you need to stop it before turning off engine?

A word of warning. I had this camera for about 3 months now and must say I'm quite disappointed. The image quality is quite poor, there's lots of noise and is really fuzzy. If you want to identify anyone's license plates, it's almost impossible unless you're right behind the other car of on the sides. And that's when you're stop. On the move it's useless if your intention of getting a dashcam is to be able to identify licence plates in something like a hit-and-run situation.

What firmware version are you on?
The latest (always).

Once it is fed with power, it starts recording almost instantaneously. When power is cut a few seconds later, it stops recording.

where to get the best price for it?
Digihub is the distro, one of the retailers is TK Foto @ Plaza Sing.

What settings were you using?

On the default setting, I can see plates next to me, even when driving and video recording is clear.

I'm on the latest firmware. I contacted the distributor for the camera here in Singapore and they told me that it is indeed that noisy.

Weird, didn't see it noisy for me. Maybe faulty set?

Here's a sample of the footage. It's all blurry and grainy.

P.S. Spot the Mustang! :s13:

1080p60. No use setting to 1296p since it's interpolated. That's what I read on the XiaoYi chinese forums. And bitrate remains the same so you get even worse compression artifacts.

@0:15 I can't even see the van or the Hyundai's car plate when it's just next to mine.

Haha maybe. Thing is, before I bought it, I looked at a lot of video reviews online and they seem much better than what I'm getting now.
