For emergency recording, the video recording length is 20sec and it will be stored in another EMR folder. Normal recording are stored in movie folder which will be overwrite if storage capacity is full.


Anyone tried changing chinese filmware into english?

mines already in English.

So I guess no harm to let it set to enabled by default?

hi guys i just bought the xiaoyi dashcam and instal it on my windscreen.
2 qns to ask
which of the 3 video quality is advisable to set on?
Second question, which is also the most impt qns. How do i change the date and time on the cam?The default is 1/1/2015. And i dont see the option for date and time even though the manual say there should be one!
I downloaded the xiaoyi ap, it doesnt allow me to change date and time too.
Please advice guys. Thanks^^

you download the app, hook it up to the cam via wifi
the time and date is auto-captured

update the firmware of the cam, which is done through the phone app. the latest firmware version the time/date setting

mine didnt come with 3m sticker, it has a proper suction mount

how much did you pay for yours??
i bought from qoo10 $80+ chinese version 6months local shop warranty

the app is in english and has full control over all settings of the cam. so regardless of the cam language, i am still using an english app

Suction not holding well, so i pasted 2x 3m double sided tape, still holding on well.

Local dealer selling 3M stick type. Singapore weather not good for sunction type, it will not hold when the sun shines onto the windscreen.

A little more ex, but you get the warrranty and support if anything happens. All menu and app is in English. Can buy from them thru qoo10, cheaper. Then collect from their office in jalan pemimpin near marymount mrt or they send to you.

iirc
3 level of sensitivity
upon impact, records "10sec before" to "10sec after" the impact
write protected file, stored in emergency folder

only downside, no motion sensor or parking mode

and i am using the suction mount, no problem.
clean the glass, wipe the suction mount

Suction mount confirm will drop one day unless u park shelter carpark no matter where u go during hot sun

It's really very easy to hide the cable. As easy as tucking in your t-shirt. Just need a credit card or ez link card or petrol discount card, tuck the cable inside the rubber lining along the pillar. Go watch on YouTube. There's a link here somewhere in the thread.
