I am thinking of getting this over S3 as Samung phones are now the public common phones. :s13: Also, Samsung phones don't feel solid in the hand to me, like feel a bit fragile to me, like drop on the floor, samsung phone maybe battery will drop out? But somehow I am also thinking should i wait for iPhone 5? Screen size is not an issue to me. Just that I feel iPhone very pleasant to use, the design, UI, etc.

Then you're in the wrong forum lol...and getting an iphone contradicts your first statement too. iPhone is even more public phone than Samsung.

Lemon set Ion

Just got a lemon Ion from M1 ytd... The phone does not charge and went dead. Changed charger still the same. Charged over night, still the same. Sigh... Shall be going back to Bugis to ask for exchange. What do you think of the chances of getting a 1-to-1?

No charging icon at all? Should be able to exchange, since normally we dont test charging when buying phone...

And better go today.

Usually once u step out of the shop, they wont give one to one. U can still try and be nice. They might change.

Hi all. Just got my Acro S from Singtel over the weekend. Was sick of iPhone and thought it would be nice for a change. Was a Japanese phone collector before the iPhone era, and am a fan of the Docomo SO-03 HD (Japanese ver. of Acro S) so I was delighted that it's offered here.

Was a little saddened that the pink colour was not offered in Singapore, considering it's one of the more unique colours on a whole. So I settled for white instead.(https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/539220_10150998520007945_769990183_n.jpg)

Also did a water test out of curiosity (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150999768827945).
Plays seamlessly underwater as you can probably see.

I read from previous posts that someone had trouble charging? I tried the desktop charger by plugging it to my Mac, it doesn't charge but it does start charging when either it's plugged to the power adapter or if it's connected via the usb plug slot on top of the phone. Maybe it's meant to be that way? Hope it helps.

Love this phone. A definite underdog and highly underrated. Superb video and camera qualities. This is my first Android phone and am definitely intrigued at how customizable everything is.

A question though. For those bros who got the phones already, are you able to register for the extra 3 month warranty? Apparently the phone model is not listed there.

I try to take more photos when I can and maybe share with everyone. :)

Funny how Sony lowers their prices abit now. Like finally awaken cos of competition, although their heads still only revolves ard japan

Xepria S launch price was $398 for starhub SS100, that was during March IT Show, dropped to $198 only THREE months later...

Now Arco S launch at $298 (SS100).... Wonder when will its price drop and how much will it drop

Anyone remembered the price timeline for Arc and Arc S? I signed for Arc at $250 last August

Luckily they didnt price their phones high, or else it simply makes more sense to just buy S3 or Note. Right?

One, last year is SE, this year is sony.

Two, now you see acro s & ion, a couple of months later you might see LT29 & LT30.

Three, if they priced acro s & ion any higher, next 2 incoming phones will be priced around 900 to 1k & that will be crazy.

Now only sony mobile & its parent company will be reaping the profits, not ericsson so no need high prices. They are actually making profits, only overall losses for this first half of the year because sony bought all SE shares & other companies like Gaikai.

I hope they survive but not grow too big like HTC/Samsung. The thing I love Sony is their pricing, very value for money. Makes the big 2 seems overpriced, I don't like to pay for their advertisements.

Now I think they are lowering the rrp so that based on specs, design and pricing that will entice would be customers to consider buying and giving sony phones a try...

this phone supports up to 32gb microsd card. anything beyond is tikam.

Why no one show any love for ion ? Everyone seem to arco s haha

Just bigger screen and not water and dust resistant... Water resistant phones are more revelant to be used in tropical countries.

imagine chatting, fbing, whatsapping while bathing...

I managed to do a 1-to-1 exchange for the non-charging Ion. Thanks to the staff at M1 Bugis.

Regarding the SD card, I managed to use a Class 10 64GB on it (cost $122 at Challenger) No problem.

One reason I want Acros S is that I do sports and sweaty hands or sometimes raining, though have umbrella, water will still splash in
