Xperia SP

Hi guys, I am interested to get xperia SP due to its good hardware specs and very attractive outlook, but I am worried about the WIFI problem as I use public wifi alot, and changing the setting of router is not an option fo rme.

I read online some claims the latest update from sony has fixed the wifi issue, may I know if it is true?

Tested. Working for me. though it's on edge network so it's WAY slower than 3g or LTE.

Did you see a G on top of the connectivity/reception bar ?

I'm on m1 though

I see, so it is a heng suay issue that some device cannot connect to wifi huh, cause some people also post here about unable to connect wifi at public area.

Desktop did follow the steps 1 to 5 but not responding while holding volume button when plucking in the micro usb.

Might want to try the update again. Is your screen on Pattern lock/password lock when you plugin ?

Nope. The phone went auto turn off after it detect phone model and preparing for FW download. Try few times still the same. Thought that's normal for phone when updating?

It's detected once when power was on during model search. After FW downloaded it turn off and didn't detect again after doing the steps for updating while plugging in the micro usb cable.

In this case is bad? Think if not other way to update think no choice need to visit Sony centre liao...

I do own 2 xperia phone before but didn't had this problem for updating until this model...

My wifi & touchscreen was perfect working but stilll can't update...

I have the same problem as u when updating firmware through PC.
However for the OTA update, it works on mine. So, try OTA update again?

How much is your free memory? I feel that u probably need to empty some memory space in ur phone memory first.

I've never have any issue with its wifi from day 1 of purchase. I got mine from SingTel. My house have 3 set SP currently and all from SingTel, none have any wifi issue. I think maybe those with bad wifi issue are just unlucky.

I did done an update for 3 sets of Xperia SP recently. None of the phone require me to press and hold the volume button. After pc downloaded the file it install and then it ask me to unplug the phone then turn on the phone. It even inform in its step 4 where it ask me to unplug the phone from cable that after an update the phone may take slightly longer to turn on for 1st turn on.

Free memory should not be an issue cos my own phone have left with 419 mb free space when i did the update.

hi guys, after i press the erase data from my SP, the device can't turn on, it keep on rebooting at the front part, the rainbow > sony logo > xperia logo than back to rainbow and over and over again., any idea how to solve this?.. if i go service center, will they ask for receipt?.. thank you..

Jus got this phone at kasia.

prelimary observations:
1) screen kind of wash out, i think someone mentioned
2) wifi pickup not strong. even my htc desire x has much better pick up

fully charged battery so lets see how long it last on my usage

At the same time anyone using xperia for facebook? My sp in the xperia with facebook settings keeps syncing but like can never complete the sync...
