quite ok leh. 4-5k a day shld be enuf lah.

on average, one meal spend about 1k to 1.5k. sometimes breakfast eat at hotel.. coz toyoko-inn got provide breakfast.
transport, if not covered by jr pass, also not alot. maybe about 1k a day

a huge part of the 70k went into transport from tokyo to lake kawaguchi (cant remember how much) and gundam (about 10k :o)

lets say 1 day spend:
breakfast 500yen
lunch 1000yen
dinner 1500yen
transport 1000yen

total 4000yen :)

i think it also depends on where u are gg lah. for my trip, there was hardly any attractions that have entrance fee. but if u are gg disneyland etc, then of course u will need to budget a lot more.

You paid your accom with cash ?

Yah, cheaper lah. Credit card exchange rates not favorable. I do all my shopping with cash. Even at Takashimaya, if you have a DBS Taka credit card, they give out discount coupons but you get only 3% disc. if you are paying by card, and you get 5% disc. if you are paying with cash. And you can go up to their tax refund counter to claim back the tax.

If you are going Disneyland/sea, and you only want to take rides but not buy anything, 5K should be enough. I had my lunch there and bought a lot of stuff, plus I ate all their snacks which came with the ceramic cups, plates etc. :D

And I got the ticket I wanted, with Tinkerbell!! So lucky!

disneysea entrance tickets is 5800yen for a 1 day pass. the food inside is also quite expensive (cant remember how much though). and maybe u wanna factor in more money to buy gifts, snacks (sea salt ice cream anyone? :D), drinks etc

see how many meals u intent to eat inside disneysea. can have lunch and dinner there, or pack some sandwiches for lunch and have dinner after outside disneysea.
and also depends how much u wanna spend of souvenirs.

@zx

thanks. got it !

@evilernix.

ahh, thanks for the clairifcation. i know the entry pass is 5.8k but i was more curious of how much does the food inside cost.

for me i wanna try the sea salt popcorn ( i love salt and vinegar) probably lunch and dinner. anything to recommend and buy ? i dont believe in getting hack carrot head (thock chai tao) but i do wanna see if can get anything cute/cool/unique for souveniers for other relatives/friends kinda thing. basically omiyage (bleh! its a shame i got a large family :( expensive cost on me budget)

btw can i check with you something ? is the pass valid of multiple entry in one day ? cos i intend to go in about 9 am when it opens. check out the rides and see got what things on that day. and then, in the evening leave the park for a helicopter ride (twilight cruise) then go back in to catch the parade or sometihng like that (do they have a parade at diseny sea ?:D ?

ai ya... thought wanted to change some $K's this weekend. If rate drop to about 15.7 then I will change first phase already maybe $1,000 each time.
