Isn't that also relative. It's a neverending comparison. What is above average now is not later.
Unless it is some limited resource, don't see the need to bother others from over taking.
It's very simple. Edmwers day in day out complained about cost of living, why? Because only those in the lowest rung of the society will feel the worst heat. Government subsidies or benefits is always to help this group to survive but it will never elevate them from the lowest rung to the higher rungs, that has to be depend entirely on themselves.
Now, if the lowest rung survive due to help from the government, you need to be better than them and you shall survive without any government help and cost of living will not be an issue for you. Better still, be above average and say bye bye to col. So, don't be poor. If you can, be rich.
