Yes , I sold a bunch of losers >250K and realized loss of 52K.. Learn a big lesson.. Fortunately, those I bought rebound strongly in the last 2 months

Your portfolio base is so high now, I think you will benefit most by just having a proper diversified allocation using low cost ETFs. Even if percentage returns are in single digits, you will make high absolute returns.

I classify my liquid networth as something I can liquidate quickly anytime.. I don't count my CPF or property

with ur high salary , property should be the only game in town for you.
You will get so much richer and safely thru properties than stocks.

high salary gives you ability to borrow from bank for property loan.
this is something not available to most people.

After 2020 nobody should take their jobs for granted whether high or low salary.

Actually this recession, white collar hardly any impact on jobs. It is the blue collar and service industry who lost their jobs.

FED and CBs across the world acted very fast to prevent white collar job losses.

Are you expecting mass layoffs like 2008, especially in the financial sector? Even in 2008, the job losses were quickly reversed. By 2009, most banks were hiring again.

Not mass like 2008/09 but the worst of covid on white collar isn't over yet I think

I am planning to do at least 70% etf (mainly dividend and reit etf) as I find I can't actively manage anymore

I don't think I will be adding any more property ..I plan to retire early with whatever I have as my portfolio dividend and future property rental are sufficient to cover my expense.

I did my final numbers for 2020

You inspired me to do similar tracking for my money! I wonder how you separate out growth from new salary deposits vs growth from older long term investments that have paid off? Do you use things like TWR to account that salary deposits later in the year have lesser time to contribute to growth?

No, I don't try to separate out the growth due to new inflows. It would be too complicated, since I have multiple accounts and currencies. I know this is not exactly accurate, but my new salary addition is now less than 8% of my networth, so it's effect within the year shouldnot be so high.
