Well if Putin is desperate enough I’m sure he will. Only nuclear is a redline that no one want to cross. Moab, foab, thermobaric bombs all can use.
NATO alrdy say WMD is red line

also, why would he go so far?
diminishing returns for him

You have to go back to 2014 Ukraine election to understand from the start.
Initially the pro-Russian president was elected. Mind you hor, it's legit election.
Then the U.S. stepped in and organized a coup to overturn the president and put in the chosen one from the U.S. side, needless to say is pro U.S. and NATO side.

From there onwards, the shiat started.... and leading to today's war.

:)
after this.. you think the ukrainian will vote for pro russian government?

What happens next we will know after the war ends. Of course the loser cannot be picky right? The very same happens to every war.

But the thing is, all this can be prevented in the first place, if the U.S. didn't arrange that coup that overturned that pro-Russian president which was elected thru legitimate election.

That is his way out. If he doesn’t outright win the war it will just open the door to a challenger for the throne. I’m sure retired politicians won’t do well in Russia. Besides what is nato going to do? Sanction him somemore? Or they dare to bomb Russia? Russia has a few thousands nukes and mach 9 missiles. Who dare to go to war with an adversary like that.

I think they are not out to destroy yet. But as the battles intensified they started to bomb more and anything else not military facilities.
