Singapore has no unlimited data(no throttling & allow tethering) in cheaper price.

Place like taiwan can get things like 499TWD on unlimited data(no throttling within contract) for 1 years contract and just simply use it as a home broadband.

For singtel/m1/starhub, they are charging like 100++per month for unlimited data which actually cost more than fiber broadband

Zero mobile price is quite good, too bad no tethering allow.

 now than i know zero mobile cannot tethering. why leh?

LoL 499NT$, same like my M1 unlimited data old plan S$22.42

Last time SG the 3 Main telcos alot cheap unlimited data mobile plans one...

then they change to the stupid data packages... I faint zzzz coz very expensive.

like SG become "backwards technologies" using fibre bb while not to unlimited mobile bb.

Zero mobile configure their sim card to disable tethering, they said it's not intend to replace home broadband and it's term and conditions said data consume has to been on ur mobile device..

There should be someway to bypass especially for android user, just that they might be able to detect and bill you.

Ever since 4G came out, Telecos start to treat data like gold

Is there any root app that will be able to overcome this? If can tether save on broadband liao

Don't think you can. On their end, they can actually see how many device is connected to their network. When you only subscribe to 1 line, rightfully only 1 line can only connect to their network. When you tether, it would be more than 1 device connecting to their network.

If not wrong, they would request your phone imei number when you subscribe to their line, so only that imei number can connect to their network. You can't have multiple device with the imei number, so you can't tether.

A simple google search I found FoxFi..

However i have no zero mobile, so not sure does it works anot.

Use at own risk as they might be able to detect that you are tethering and breaking the t&c which might result in bill shocking or termination of service

Let's say I tether my laptop to my phone. My laptop has no imei. It connects to my phone which in turn connects to the mobile neteork. So how will they know I am tethering my laptop to my phone?

Not only imei, since all network go through ISP before reaching the server.

They can get all ur data packet and look into it things like user-agent, TTL, Mac address, Port etc.

In short unless you are surfing all site with HTTPS, otherwise they might even know you are watching prawn.

Doesn’t take rocket scientist to understand why. They earning like crazy just because they control the amount of data.

That's Zero Mobile. However, we are discussing Zero1 mobile on this thread.

Saw several negative feedbacks about Zero1 on facebook's page. Zero1 did not remove them though.

They get your imei so as to authorize that phone in their system to use their network. Any other connections via your line will be consider unauthorized. When you tether to your laptop, your MAC address and IP address is available for them. They can easily trace that you are tethering.

In short, was thinking of between zero1 9.90 and myrepublic UNO plan.

For zero1, are the throttled speeds the same for 9.90 and 29.90? Or 29.90 has better throttled speed?
