Not sure when TPG will launch their plans given their current situation. Even if they launch, how long they can last is another issue...

Hahaha all so anxious ah? :)

Guess can.

Think they will do their maths if they want to venture.

I feel the 3 telco have alot of spare bandwidth. Last time remember national day they give free data on that day network never overload.

Hopefully tpg come and make them more competitive.

I feel the same from using.

Mostly is network faulty only. :D

That is before their merger with Vodefone in Australia. When the merger, TPG is talking about splitting off the Singapore part as a separate entity.

This means that they will have less financial support and the splitting might be a move to let others buy over the company as the split out company is valued less, easier to buy.

No choice for me. At home no wifi.

And I prefer to use mobile broadband instead of fibre broadband cause I don't want to install fibre wirings etc.

Yup 1mbps throttle been quite a long time.

Note: Zero1 $9.90/$13.90 plan is just 0.5mbps after 5GB used.

Any idea what is the throttling for the 29.9? I am on 9.9 but ya 0.5mpbs a little uncomfortable Liao.

I have just switch form M1 my sim 20 to zero1 9.90 plan.

First thing I notice is reception is lesser in my home from full 5 bars to just 2 with zero1.

The other is I can't connect to my VPN on port 53. Standard port 1194 works.

Not really a huge loss as I only use the port 53 VPN on public WiFi

Huh? I call to waive $10 for exceeded data charges for 1M ? They won't and the reason was I had previously asked for waive once, and their system won't allow a second waive..

Unlimited throttle plan is for me.

Had decided to switch over to zero1, after more than 20 years with the red light.

:)

My usage not high. Just mostly browsing Reddit and occasional WhatsApp msg. Zero1 need to hurry up with their app. Also I still prefer manual payment instead of automatic deduction.

SingTel also seems to not use ipv6 unlike the dual stack I get from M1.

If I were to ever switch away from zero1 I probably not choose SingTel or other mvno that uses SingTel :)

Why no Singtel or its mvno? Singtel has better coverage than M1. Some parts of my ex company has no M1 connection (not sure about Starhub)

I have never experienced any lack of coverage from M1.

I think all Telco have to meet a certain percentage of coverage for the whole of sg. If there is somewhere that gets no coverage u should lodge a complain.

also the lack of ipv6 and port 53 block is issue to consider

Fake news
:s13:
:s13:
:s13:

At least for ISP M1 does ipv6 reliability. SingTel with its 6rd implementation still not completely reliable while starhub with its dual stack which is the same as M1 but unreliable.

Singtel have yet to implement ipv6 on their mobile line. Not sure abt starhub.

Singtel also block port 53 wholesale to prevent DNS spam. M1 at least filters it to allow openVPN traffic through.

There is more to Telco and ISP then coverage and speed u know :D
