But Uno Plan's boundless data is unbearable. I can't even book a Grab ride properly with its intermittent disconnection. :(

I'm looking for towards to a reasonable data speed.

Very true. I'm paying Starhub $55 for a 'S' based plan and additional $10 for 5GB Data Jump. Can't terminate this overrated line next year.

I keep both line, zero1 for internet & mr uno for sms/calls.
now got dual sim smartphones mah.

If you don't need so much 1000sms/1000mins calls, you can terminate MR Uno plan liao. Can survive with zero1 200mins/200sms. BUT keeping is good, cause dunno when their company will closed down. hahaha
Zero1 Throttle speed can be use for laptop/pc too with wireless usb 4g modem, and even for ipad.

Agreed, I'll keep both. For me I value talk time a lot (Sorry, WhatsApp calls don't cut it)

1000mins for $8 is already a steal for me, I actually treat the 1GB data as a bonus.

Alternatively, you can sign up for the Circles.Life $0 Flexi Plan that gives you 1GB free monthly. I have that and it is on my second sim card tray (with MR $8 UNO) as a data backup.

And yes, MR UNO Boundless data is really unbearable. It's only good for purely texting on WhatsApp that's all.

Nope, I'm just making a guess.

By next Monday 8 October you will know if the 1GB plan will remain.

If Zero1 remove the 1GB plan, this could very well be Zero1's "UNO" plan lol.

Only thing is, Zero 1 has already officially launched its services, whereas MR UNO plan was a "invite only, soft launch" plan, for people that have registered interest with the invitation codes (that can be found everywhere lol) to sign up first.

So technically, the Zero1's "UNO" plan was the $19 deal for their current $29.99 plan.

Hence, my guess is the 1GB plan is here to stay.

It doesn't make sense for them to remove the plan after Oct 7. If the plan is just for a limited time, they can just advertise the plan as $9.90 without stating the $13.90 pricing. The fact that they state the $13.90 normal pricing means the plan will be available after the $9.90 promotion is over...

Really dun understand why some kumgongs rather pay so much money for data for Sucktel Starfug and Msuck plans when this Zero1 is so cheap.

Well, not all of them sucks. You can actually get 8gb data plan from M1 for just $18 per month. If you need more data, 13gb data plan for just $22.50 per month.

Compared to the normal price of zero1 which $13.90, you are just paying $4.10 for 7gb data vs the throttled speed or $8.60 for 12gb data vs the throttled speed. Not to mention M1 still have the data passport for overseas usage...

And if your usage is lesser like around 5gb data per month and you have access to good corporate discount, some of the voice plans are actually quite cheap. For example M1 offers 40% for their voice plans for MOE employees (I heard some other corporate plans have even higher discounts), you can get 5gb data for around $25+ (less than $26). And if you time your plan correctly (during iphone launch period), you can easily earn $200 to $300 for selling off the iphone. To make calculation simple, just take that you earn $240 for the iphone sale (you probably will earn more), for over the contract period of 24 months, you are effectively paying $10 less each month. So you are in fact paying $15+ per month for 5gb 4g data.

So it all depends on your usage...

Might be too many peoples complaint about MR Uno plan being "too secretive" must need friend promo codes to apply while randomly enter codes can also apply.

Actually I also hope Zero1 1GB-unlimited to stay.

However if Zero1 1GB-unlimited to stay, their 3gb-unlimited have to closed shop. :s13:

OR they can do like this, let Zero1 3gb-unlimited $29.90 remain. "Come come, we have better plan for you, $13.90 only" :s13:

$13.90 is their notice information to customers that after 6 months usage the price shall be $13.90 every month.

Anyway, Im also waiting to see what will happen to zero1 after 7th oct

Well, if you read from all the replies people got from their CS and from their website, it implies that the 1gb plan has slower throttled speed. Even though now for the 1gb plan you still getting 1mbps throttled speed, I will not surprise that if they just reduce the throttled speed in the near future. You can't go complain them as what they advertise and what their CS replies already implies the 1gb plan has a slower throttled speed...

So people who wants a faster throttled speed will have to take their $29.90 plan.

In the event if Zero1 would to remove the 1GB plan, all the more people will keep it as its more "exclusive club". Similar to those who got the 3GB plan at $19, only difference is the $29.99 3GB plan is permanent offering while the 1GB plan is gone. :s13:

Anyway, my best guess is the 1GB plan is here to stay for long. It acts as a good "introduction to Zero1" services, without the need to commit more money to the $29.99 3GB plan.

Like it? Ok I will upgrade to the 29.99 plan in a few months time. Don't like it? Terminate it after the $9.90 promo rate ends.

It implies the 1gb plan has a slower speed. Right now they still have not reduce the speed. So it's still ok...

For the 3gb plan they say can watch 720p but in fact you can only watch 480p. So 1gb plan they say cannot wtach 720p. Definitely cannot watch 480p...

Yeah I'm aware of it. I will use Zero1 long term and see how it goes. Because no contract. Thanks bro ;)

I have a comment. instead of reducing speed, why can't they increase throttled speed for users let say 1.5mbps-9.5mbps (bitrate speeds for 720p)? stingy or their current technology cannot? :s11: (I'm not a pro so dunno abt it) :s13:
