Wait for tpg to start selling & hopefully the telecos will lower prices.

Not sure TPG will last or not. They are now trying to spin off from their main company in Australia. So their funding for Singapore market might be limited.

Wait till got better offer for 1mbps throttle first then see how loh.

Anyway Zero1 using Singtel facilities. Coverage pretty good!
Very true.

Starfug and MyRepublic's data have connectivity issue at MRT underground. :s22:

Hence, Singtel's coverage is the best, followed by M1.

They already spent alot on the bid and can see their equipment on the ceiling of alot of malls. would be suicide if they were to pull out

They are launching at a bad time.
2 biggest phone manufacturers have already launched their flagships recently and a lot of people in Spore have contracted to the big 3 telcos for the new flagships. I wonder how much more subscribers are left for them to pull over.

Don't see the value in getting phone with a contract now since there are sim only plans.

If can't afford to buy phone outright then get a cheaper phone.

Before tpg announced that they will be the 4th teleco, teleco here still uncompetitive but now tpg will face teleco that are prepared

Telco plans still worth it if under CIS with discounts. People also see telco plans as installment plans for expensive phones. A lot of people only want to use branded phones.

M1 connectivity tends to disconnect intermittently at MRT's underground.

Was once an M1 CIS customer for 4 years, ported to Starhub CIS due to $188 + $30 handset discount.

But now regret with my decision for porting to Starfug...

KPO meow comes already :s13:

You forget about service level... Zero1 provides almost zero customer service... That alone will be sufficient to bring their downfall if they don't change...

mmm.. zero1 always reply to my emails, not so bad.

registering for tpg starts already? :s11:

Yes, same thinking. they already spend so much for bidding. Maybe coming but later.

For the current zero1/singtel network, I don't have very good experience with it. M1 better for 4G usb modem connection. :s13:

My speed test result

From 1.3mbps they reduce to 1mbps.

After exceeding 5GB, Now I only get around 0.6mbps. :(

if 0.5mbps $9.90 for me still acceptable, but not for $13.90 for me.

Still have 5 months plus to consider... mmm will still continue to see how the speed goes.

Assuming i want to port over from Starhub to Zero1, when my contract with Starhub is done.

If my contracts end on, for example 1 Nov, this means i can register with zero1 on that day itself, and zero1 will send the sim card over by maybe 4 Nov, and the porting process/card activation will be done by 5 Nov.

What will this mean for my Starhub line between 1Nov and 5Nov?

Will I still have the line provided by Starhub and it will terminate once the zero1 sim card activates?

Will there be any additional charges from Starhub from that few days?

TIA :D

Not sure if it's a wise move to throttle users so heavily. From my understanding if 4g speed is slow, people phone need to hog more airtime to do the same stuff. The powerusers will jump ship & the cheapskate users will squeeze as much as possible out of the slow speed.

Well, you get what you paid for. You are only paying $13.90 and expect good throttled speed? So if you can't take the throttled speed, probably you need to look for more expensive alternatives.
