Amazing Zero1 5G NSA! 🤗

Note that I always use Singtel as a remote server for speed tests.

Amazing Zero1 5G NSA.

Today is my 2nd day using Zero1.

No lag, no retard connections at all. No waiting thus no frustration when paying using payment apps unlike on Maxxie...🤦🏻‍♂️

Try paying at the food court near Prudential Tower @ Cecil St.. :ROFLMAO:
Try going to City Square Mall Basement 1, Kopi & Tarts. Zero1 and Simba failed tragically. Luckily, i got my maxxie to save the day, other wise i have to wash plates.

Exactly why i keep both Vivifi and Maxx lines. At least 90% covered. Yes. Even with these 2 lines, still not 100%.

I think my S$15.28 Singtel SIM Only plans got 98% coverage after the launch of Singtel 700 MHz band in 2025. Before that it was about 90% with Singtel 5G, and probably only 85% with Singtel 4G.

I just start to test Eight S$8 plan and Maxx S$10 plan. They can improve the speed in quite some areas but not really coverage.

The remaining 2% are more inside the lift in some buildings.

No real coverage issues in the underground MRT tunnels (EWL, NSL and Circle Line), but I do not take MRT during peak hours, usually only over the weekends or non peak hours during weekdays.

And for my weird experience. Maxx is able to get data in lifts while Vivifi spins the wheel on me. 😂

From the reports, I see obvious difference between Singtel SIM Only and Singtel MVNOs (5G NSA now). Maxx can be a good supplement to Singtel MVNOs.

Let's see if Singtel MVNOs will get better coverage after getting 5G SA.

ok. You go and test some of the blackholes with your Singtel Sim Only 5G++ and let us know if it's really, really superior.

Some places are really blackhole, got coverage, no data throughout. One area is Harry's Bar in Boat Quay, it's where M1 Maxx is really cmi. Got reception, but no data.

Same goes to City Square Mall Kopi n Tarts, where Zero1 failed

Haha, I have to Google to know where is City Square.

I may go to Boat Quay once per three years or maybe 5 years...

Tell me some places in the west side (close to MRT Stations) and I will try.

City Square has a big Decathlon, outlet shops, linked to Farrer Park mrt, near to Mustafa. I went there to try out the Beach Roach Curry Rice.

IKEA Jem also does not have good reception for Simba

BTW, we all like to use the coverage word, in reality, often it is not a real signal coverage issue, but a capacity issue.

Each base station may have limited capacity to serve n number of customers. In this case, the priority plays the key part. That is why you get the signal but no data connection.

I think my last visit to Little India area was in 2015, to have dinner at an North Indian restaurant.

My number of trips to India (5) is more than the number of trips to Little India area ...

Singtel & StarHub 4G got 4 band’s coverage. only M1 & simba 4G only got 2 bands coverage

Singtel now have 700 MHz band which is used for 4G and 5G.

It has significantly improved my experiences with Singtel SIM Only plan. Some of the earlier no signal areas in my workplace (West side, industrial building) now have 5G NSA.

BTW, somehow Eight 4G often has better signals in this area. Overall Eight 4G actually provide the best experience at my workplace (not top speed but coverage).

Maxx half half at my work place. Certain areas it is better than Singtel and other places it is worse.

Actually M1 and StarHub have also 700 MHz spectrum rights allocated by IMDA until year 2040. Hopefully they can utilise 700 MHz spectrum to improve 5G/4G coverage as well, especially 5G.
