Took the plunge and updated my local set A2017G from V1.0.0B10 to v1.2.0B01, and followed shortly by an OTA to v1.2.0B02

The phone is much quicker and some new features appeared after the upgrade. The security patch level is now March 2017.

Just need to copy the "official_a2017g_711.zip" file to the root of the SD card and invoke the System Update option at Settings. Note that you should only do the OTA update (v1.2.0B02) after the v1.2.0B01 upgrade has fully completed.

As usual, YMMV and try at your own risk! :)

I can confirm that the phone is performing better than ever on v1.2.1B02.

Not only is it highly responsive, battery life is stellar and the phone stays on 4G or 4G+ network most of the time unlike previously.

Time to try out DayDream.. can someone advise where I can buy a compatible/affordable DayDream View? Thanks!

thanks bro. how do u update to b02? im at 01 now but it doesnt detect b02 that i placed at sdroot.

For my case, V1.2.0B02 comes automatically in the form of over-the-air (OTA) update. It should appear after you have successfully upgraded to V1.2.0B01.

You also should remove the installer file from your SD card after the initial upgrade.

Mine doesn't have 4g+..
Apparently quite a few are having problems of not having 4g+ as well

nope no OTA thus i went to dl. stuck liao haha

the thread someone just uploaded complete b02. i flash that ok now. thanks

Can install the update while on Nova Launcher or should I switch back to stock launcher before the update?

The B02 should be post #258 in that particular forum.
But take note, you have to upgrade/update step by step...
First update to B10 (still 6.0 marshmallow o/s) < this one I download from http://www.ztedevice.com/support/detail?id=98CEB24F9FFD433EA99EC424163149A6 >
Next up upgrade to B01 (nougat) from mentioned forum post #254
Then download the B02 nougat update from the forum post #258
