It's the software
Really bad, tho they did try to improve it. Kind of copies apple, but not as bad as oppo
I go see their R11, their UI it's almost like apple
But anyway, did you check those reviews??? Most of it uses the A2017U, which has the best support of all three. The one sold here is A2017G, known as the last model to get updates. If you still want to get it, buy the A2017U online
Like on of the users in the thread, all updates will come via OTA. If not, you can get Sony Xperia phones, cost more but worth it. At least they are more original

The easiest way to see the model for reviews of the Axon 7 would be the home screen
The U model has a app drawer icon
G model had nothing like that (this was before ZTE introduced Launcher3 into the G model, but still look ugly)

Actually I love it..still using it as my home phone cos the dual speakers are superb ! No other smart phones comes close..

I loved the phone as well.. Great AMOLED QHD screen, nice sounding front speakers, and extremely value for $$. IMHO, the only weakness is the camera, which is inferior to iPhone 7 and Samsung S7/S8.

Anyway, I just took the plunge to upgrade my A2017G's firmware to V1.2 B06 (Nougat). Yet to try much but, one immediate improvement is the abilty to perform "samsung smart switch" to my new Note 8.

Drop me a PM if you are keen to take over my mint A2017G which comes with original packaging/accessories as well as another year of local warranty to run.

Nougat v1.2, B05.

Note that I could not find the smart-switch app on Play Store, likely due to Google's assumption that the software is not compatibilty with Axon7. Had to download the APK file and install.

Rooted and installed TWRP + flashed B06 Nougat on my local A2017G. Tweaked the volume settings in system/etc/mixer_paths.xml to essentially uncap the EU regulations of a volume limit on devices with a headphone jack and the volume output noticeably increased compared to when I was on stock MM dk if placebo but sounds better also now i cannot tahan max volume le. Also less heat and better battery marginally.

Compared volume to LineageOS and max vol is around the same so I think when 7.1.1 rolls out it'll automatically be uncapped.

Basically got some people complain our local variant the A2017G the sound sucks compared to the A2017(U). Its not a hardware problem its fixable by software. Voids your warranty but is easily reversible.
