Think it's because of some sound restrictions they have in Germany
Tho now it's louder compared to last time (with Dolby)

Bought a Spigen Rugged Armor for the Axon 7 and its a great case, highly recommend if you're still using the stock one. kinda pricey tho.

Anyone updated the A2017G to the latest 7.1.1 yet? Just updated my wife's set. Her old one screen spoiled and they actually did a one to one exchange for us . Good service with no questions asked. So had to reupdate manually to nougat. Pleased to see they upgraded to 7.1.1 but the security update is quite outdated as it is still stuck at the march version.

Any feedback on the 7.1.1 so far?

flashed 7.1.1 on my a2017g long time ago. no problems so far. for whatever reason my screen brightness wont go beyond half the bar. like i can drag it to full but it still says the same level beyond the halfway mark.

If you updating from Marshmallow, make sure your device is on version B10/B11
B10 package is also available in the site.
Download into your phone and put in the root of SD card. No need to extract unlike the ones from US site. There shouldn't be a need to rename for the phone to recognize it

downgraded MM B11 firmware to B6 so i could upgrade to N B08 firmware.

Outside amk hub near Bata got one phone shop sell
I bought mine there at 12 dollars
But to upgrade to Android N your version need to be B10 or B11 MM leh

I didn't do an OTA update.

Downloaded the B08 N firmware and used the update manager.

Awaiting for Oreo update since someone asked the CS rep and mentioned it will be available in 30 days.

OTA or manual you were suppose to update to Android N from B10/B11
Android O will b released for the China model this month. G model idk but G model is always the last. If U model confirmed, G model will always be 1-2 months later

Because the ota is based on country
Currently Singapore is on B11
Service centre doesn't recommend updating manually but it's generally ok as I have been doing it and there aren't any problems

Thanks for info. Well, that's suck. Why can't sg get nougat? What take them so long? ZTE got the potential to make a comeback to the market with axon8 but their software support is very disappointing.

Zte isn't a famous brand here
Anyway, you are allowed to update to B08 Android N
Also, seems like B09 OTA has arrived for Germany sets
