just repaired my LG 55LE5500. 5+ yrs old. no more warranty. Replaced Mainboard as all the HDMI ports not working anymore. tv Works just fine now.
Replacement part $200
Labour $160
GST 7%
Total $385.

onsite repair, 15 minute job. LG engineer said that there are four common replacement parts:
Panel
Power board
Mainboard (for the the inputs)
Video engine board (not sure if I heard this correctly)
Last three items approx $200-300. Can call LG service centre for more exact quote.

Generally, if it is not the panel that is spoil, and if just replacing one board, the cost is not too high, worth considering this option.... else buy a new comparable TV with current technology also more than 1K

BN44-00428B; SAMSUNG Power Board for 55D7000

Hi, I am looking for BN44-00428B; SAMSUNG Power Board for 55D7000, OR anyone advice TV repair shop in Singapore, who repair board on component level, since this board is working but due to Capacitor issue , power dropping again n again.. Please suggest repair shop, tried couple but all wants to replace the Board with labour, which is quite expensive (approx $400).

You have to change the whole board as only the manufacturer has the spare part and they selling the whole board. ~ $400 is reasonable price as if u get a new Tv will cost ~ $3000+ for a 55 3D Tv like LG 55UH850T.

Philips LED 46PFL5605/98

Thanks.. The problem is that the TV was purchased in Thailand and was being used in India. Philips India says they do not have a replacement motherboard since this model was not being sold in India. So I guess the only option is to buy a replacement Motherboard from Singapore. Please advise

Most manufacturer in sg will not sell the motherbroad alone. They will need the tech to be on site to do the repair in Sg and charge for service charge. Always buy Tv at the country u are using the Tv so that you can enjoy the local warranty.

Having some remote issues on my 5 yrs old LG LW6500 47 inches LED TV.
Handheld remote doesn't seems to syn w TV. Exp: When I press A it will appear B

Spoken to LG service center was told the remote sensor in the TV most likely gone.
Total cost including labour and parts about $330.

Any LG user has the same issues before and anywhere else I can get a cheaper repair deal?
TIA

No where to get as manufacturer control the part. Since your Tv is more than 5 years it is quite old, it will be better to get a new 49 or 55" UH650T which has HDR and colorprime etc. It is good and cheap. If you like 3D then go for 49UH850T.

Thanks for the heads up, new problem surface today. Now the power white light is blinking but tv still able to watch.
This is my 1st LG and to pay $2500 for 5 years seems a little too quick to end its life span:p

$2500 for 5 years - $500 a year of enjoyment, not too bad.. but my $7500 50" plasma is still working after 9 years, so your TV is still ahead in amortisation.

Nowadays a Tv only last 50,000 hours max and many brand like Samsung will go up lorry after the warranty just expired. Can last 5 yrs is already a bonus. You can repair or get a new Tv. No choice.
