Anybody has any recommendation of TV repair?
My Panasonic plasma TV is flickering.. Think it's some board issue.. Screen looks OK still.
Issit worth to repair?

Forget about it as after sometime other issue will pop out. It will be better to go for a new LG OLED Tv.

I just bake the mother board and its ok.,, try to search videos on youtube how they did it : https://www.google.com/search?q=bake+lg+motherboard&oq=bake+lg&aqs=chrome.2.69i57j0l3.6545j0j4&client=ms-android-om-lge&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

Thanks for the heads up, new problem surface today. Now the power white light is blinking but tv still able to watch.
This is my 1st LG and to pay $2500 for 5 years seems a little too quick to end its life span:p

Honestly for Tv, it is motherboard or Powerboard or LCD screen. Sometime after u change motherboard, later powerboard faulty.

True that buy cheap less damage but picture not so nice if too low end Tv. Pros and Cons.

My LG 42" LED TV got problem 40days after 3yrs warranty expires.

Repair quoted by LG for diagnostic (about $140) on-site, there are 3 or 4 PCB in the TV, ask them how much. Cheapest PCB is $150+ and most expensive PCB is about $350+.

So the repair cost will be from at least $300 to $500 or more.

Decided to go Giant and buy a SkyWorth 42" LED TV @ $425 on 10 Mar 2015.

No checking in to update that the TV is still ok.

Nowadays most Tv is ~ 3 yrs life span and after changing motherboard will extend another 3 yrs. Now new model repair is 300-500. Skyworth is not so clear and it has noise in the image and the sound is not so good too. So can not really enjoy watching. However it is cheap. If i am u, i would prefer to repair it to enjoy clear image and good audio for another 3 yrs. Or else get at least a 49UH650T or even UH850T. SkyWorth features is really very outdated and no smart Tv feature at all.

Yes. Bought in Mar 2015, so it was ok.

Actually, I find the picture quality quite good. Sound is acceptable also.

Different people will have different standard. My requirement for TV is very low.

I had a few 32" Skyworth TV in my storeroom which was given to me as a gift. I gave away during staff lucky draw. Understand from my staff that there is noise in the image. It has no DVB-T2 too so you need a set top box to watch HD TV by end 2017.

Yes. I am using DVB-T2 box to watch now already. I also hook up a computer to the TV. The picture quality from the DVB-T2 box seems ok leh.

Like I said, my standard for TV quality is very low.

Just checking, anyone knows the issue with screen mirroring on panasonic Tvs?
I could screen mirror from phone, but no sound from sound bar. Sound bar connected to Tv via optical cable.

But there is sound from the Tv. Model is TH50-CX500S

My 5 year old Samsung 40' LED TV gave up on its sound. The cost of repair is $120 nett to replace both speakers.

Called Mr. Ho on Saturday; he mentioned that if there is a need to replace with expensive spare parts, I can choose not to proceed and pay him $20 for the travel and service. He is a nice uncle and really experienced with TV repairs.
It took him just 20 minutes to fix it - Highly recommended!

His contact as below:
His name : Mr. Ho
Number : 6252 4555

Do not be happy yet as this is still minor. May be after sometime your motherboard and powerboard become faulty. At least $300+ to repair. Total repair cost can be ~ $500 which is almost the price of a new 40" TV.
