technically it does, because wifi mesh system has no ISP restriction.

However, you buy from others, you might not enjoy warranty and technical support from singtel...

Hi guys
After reading all the comments, I went ahead and bought the airties mesh.
I cant be more happy now...

i use to get 40 to 50 mbps in bedroom, now I can get up to 120 ~ 140 mbps in same location...

Time to get rid of all repeaters...

you are currently using singtel wifi mesh to provision singtel tv right?

in that case, the intermittent signal loss could be due to the wireless environment. have you scanned the environment and choose the best channel and ensure surrounding has no DECT phones/microwave/CRT tv etc?

HI thanx for the reply. There is a DECT phone besides the router. I'll try to move the phone somewhere further and see how it goes. So far the only remedy is to turn off the power supply and then turn it back on.it works but troublesome.

Wifi mesh and Singtel Tv Go

Hello. I currently have a complicated setup according to Singtel.

My current setup is:
ONT -> Singtel Router -> (RJ45) to Wifi Mesh 1 -> (Wireless) to Wifi Mesh 2 -> Singtel Tv.

Firstly, I want to clarify the configuration of the Singtel router. My Wifi Mesh 1 is about 6-7 meters away from the singtel router. Thus, what do i need to tick/untick in 192.168.1.254 (Singtel Router)? does both my 2.4 and 5 ghz SSID be the same?

Secondly, in wifi mesh 1 (192.168.1.9) what is the SSID and configuration do i need to setup? Same as my Singtel router SSID?

Thirdly, My singtel tv go, which as subscribed, suppose to allow 3 home view users to watch in different device. However, i get the message that i need to connect to my home singtel fibre broadband wifi to use the function. But I'm connected to the Singtel router's SSID. and also when i try to watch concurrently on 2 devices, one of the device dc. Is there a walk around for this?

im confused as Wifi analyser shows that i have 4 different SSID broadcasting. 2 in 2.4ghz and 2 in 5ghz.

please help me out.. thanks in advance

The answers to your questions have been repeated many times. Pls spend a few moments to read through.

Basically the Wi-Fi on your router should be disabled to avoid interference and the mesh should have its own unique ssid.

Your dual bands can have both the same ssid or different, it's up to you if you want to enable band steering.

I'm not sure why one user will dc when 2 users are watching concurrently, I'm hoping it's not access rights issue.

Thank you for the reply. I have configured the internet now. But I still have the issue of not enabling home view in my Singtel tv go app. It still require me to be under the same Singtel fiber broadband wifi to configure the home view. Any idea how do I go around it ?

Without home view I cannot watch in 3 devices ?

For this you need to consult 1688. I suggest you try resetting the app and fire up when your set top box is turned on to provide the initial sync..

Last year during a closed door event with singtel, there was a demonstration of the LAN set up but until now the firmware hasn't make it to public yet.

I have no idea when they will release the firmware though, but i can ask when there's a chance..

@renfred, the current AirTies WiFi app is not compatible with SingTel Mesh, any news when the app will be ready?

https://itunes.apple.com/no/app/airties-wifi/id1065792549?mt=8

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.airties.companionapp&hl=en

The airties app is incompatible because singtel branded mesh is not running the same firmware as the original airties.

Unfortunately, i do not have information on the maturity of the app.. Will keep my ears open on this information.. :)
